had a good idea to use that I got from my son for christmas, so last Friday went with my friend. very enjoyed fabulous eating and beautiful atmosphere. waitresses were all very good and loved that they explained every product. will be definitiw back

The place was great, the staff were very attentive and explained what every item was once it was brought out, nothing was rushed and were made to feel at home. Great atmosphere at a great price. I will be back. Don't miss out on this gem. Need to book.

The food was fantastic, and the service provided by Sophia was outstanding. Despite our large group, she remained attentive and friendly throughout our visit. I highly recommend this restaurant, and I hope you have the same fortune we did in having Sophia as your server!

This is one of my favorite spots when I'm away from home. I always bring my friends and family here when they visit me from Edinburgh or Glasgow. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the vegan menu is quite impressive. Everyone I've taken wants to return. I just wish I could come here more often! We went to the Tapas Bar yesterday evening for my friend's grandson's thirteenth birthday and it was a perfect evening. The food was so enjoyable with so many dishes to taste and share. I'm vegetarian and there was a variety of really tasty dishes for me! The staff were great.... really friendly, welcoming and attentive to everything we needed. Thanks to them for a lovely evening on such a special occasion.

This is my fourth visit to Sol y Sombra—my first as a vegetarian and the last three as a vegan. They offer an amazing set vegan menu that is diverse and offers great value. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. Each dish is thoughtfully crafted with impressive attention to detail. I would have rated it 5 stars, but Happy Cow limits vegan-friendly restaurants to a maximum of 4 stars. I will definitely return time and again. Is this Dundee's best restaurant?

I had a wonderful experience at this tapas restaurant, which features a dedicated vegan menu. I was dining with non-vegan friends, and the staff were fantastic at explaining my dish when the first course arrived, ensuring that my meal stayed separate. However, the second course was a bit chaotic, as everything was served at once, and it took some time to sort out which dishes were mine. I had to check with the kitchen a couple of times for assurance. Overall, the food was delicious, the staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was vibrant!

I recently visited this restaurant with some friends who are omnivores and opted for the vegan set menu. I was genuinely impressed by both the quantity and quality of the food. The portion was comparable to the omnivore platters, and it was clear that each dish was thoughtfully prepared with attention to presentation and flavor. Some standout dishes for me included a delicious mushroom and tomato salad, a flavorful beetroot salad, and a chargrilled skewer featuring vegan chorizo and a variety of vegetables. I truly felt like I received great value for my money, and the vegan options didn't feel like an afterthought like they often do at other places!
