"This is a farewell review. One slightly frustrating thing is that the restaurant only accepts cash, but there is an ATM next door. The server who attended to us was very helpful and highlighted the non-vegan menu items that were vegan-friendly. I ordered the mock chicken curry with boiled fried rice, while my partner had the sweet and sour bun. We also shared a fried rice and chow mein, all of which were excellent. We didn’t have to wait long for our food either. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals and are excited about the variety of options for future visits. It’s been over 18 years since I last had a Chinese meal, so I’m thrilled to finally find a vegan alternative. I would have given 5 stars if HappyCow allowed it. Just a note: the prices listed on Google are inaccurate; they have increased, and a meal for two will probably set you back around £15.20. We also enjoyed our meals at Shanghai 1814, which offers beautiful vegan Chinese cuisine in Southampton city center."

Best option for vegan food in this area, the food is tasty and portions big. Minus is that there is no place to sit while you wait for food.

Love the amount of vegan options they have, and that they are all clearly labeled. In Southampton, this is easily the best Chinese takeaway for vegans! If they had delivery, I’d be on my knees worshipping them! Voir le carte

Generous choice of vegan Chinese/Cantonese food. After not really eating this food for 3 years it was a really pleasant surprise to find a vegan version. All of the dishes were very tasty and the mock meats were great. Our favourite dishes were the ‘beef’ in black bean with vegetables and Singapore chow mien.

A great choice for Chinese cuisine in Southampton. I really enjoyed the Satay "Hikes" skewer. The mock meat in the Szechuan sauce wasn't incredibly realistic, but it was tasty and very satisfying. I appreciated that they also offered noodle and rice options, as some places don't provide this choice for takeout.

If I could rate this 5 stars I would. The staff here are great and know their menu so well! The vegan dishes are clearly labelled, but they’re very good at making your other favourites vegan too if they can! I’ve gone back time and time again and the service is always amazing. This place has a surprisingly extensive vegan menu, which includes THE BEST salt and pepper chicken I’ve had, a tasty Malaysian dish and some big yum chicken balls (get your mind out of the gutter! My goodness, there’s children around for Christ’s sake! You’ve always gotta ruin these wholesome reviews with your toilet humour. I get enough of it at work and you should know this by now. Extremely disappointing behaviour).

After visiting several times, I’ve been really impressed with the vegan menu here. Everything we've tried has been fantastic! The service is always excellent, and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about vegan options. They’ve even presented us with more vegan dishes than what’s listed on the menu, so it’s definitely worth asking if you’re looking for something special! I highly recommend the lemon/orange chicken and the king prawn curry. I would give this place 5 stars if Happy Cow allowed it!
