Secret Garden Cafe - Menu

A gem. A haven of peace, tranquility and a tip top full English. Great service from attentive staff. The garden dining is great. Well worth a visit.

Visiting with a friend managed to sit outside in the lovely garden inbetween rain. Big portions very nice hot chocolate, watching the birds play was so nice

I am local and had not been before, but will be going back again! Breakfast was brilliant. And service too! Just got back from holiday and was craving a good English breakfast and it didn’t disappoint.

We were visiting old friends in Bideford for a few days who are locals. On the way to see them my wife and I called at the cafe just before 11am. We read a notice on the outside stating that breakfast is served until 11am....

Visited this Café for breakfast on Sunday 24th October. It was truly the best one I’ve had in ages. Very friendly staff, clean establishment. Surely this must be the best place for your full English in Bideford? Don’t bother wasting time searching for a place...

the most pedantic Covid experience we've ever had. They spent more time shuffling us from table to table while they wiped everything down what seemed like several times over. Some focus on actual customer service wouldn't gone amiss. We got the impression from the staff...

Today, we had lunch at the Secret Garden Cafe. We ordered omelettes, which were not only huge but also incredibly delicious. The leaf salad had the best dressing I have ever tasted; if the chef bottled it, I would definitely buy loads. The staff had happy dispositions and were excellent. We will definitely be returning.

During a heavy rainstorm, we were in need of a dog-friendly cafe. This cafe was incredibly accommodating, setting up sheltered areas outside in the Snug and later in the even cozier Deck. The waitress service was excellent and the chef was very helpful. The food was delicious, I especially enjoyed my special omelette. Thank you for making us feel so welcomed.

The service at this restaurant was absolutely terrible. While looking for a place to have breakfast in Bideford, we came across the Secret Garden and decided to give it a try if we couldn't find anything better. After checking out another cafe across the road and deciding to still go to the Secret Garden, we were met with unfriendly service. The chef/owner seemed annoyed that we had looked at another menu and didn't welcome us or offer a menu or high chair for our daughter. The atmosphere was unwelcoming and the place smelled of grease with flies buzzing around. We decided to leave and find a better, cleaner place with cheaper breakfast options elsewhere.
