"Was in hythe for the evening so decide to go to seashells , have been many times before , but first time for evening meal . It was very very busy but was able to get a table . It was my husbands first visit had raved about it to him in the passed .our order was taken an d starters came in about 15mins . We then waited for our mains , as I said it was very busy , but after waiting 1hour I was not happy as still waiting so called waiter over saying we had been waiting over 1hour , just then our main came out . He did apologise have a free drink on the house . The food was lovely will go again only when it's not so busy"

large menu, efficient, friendly staff, great menu had the hard fish delish! Beyond that they sat on the terrace, over which search for solent waters saw the ships sail past. perfect evening.

Had a absolutely fab Xmas Meal here recently best value and menu in area in my opinion and didn't fail to deliver only gripe is the steak was served medium rather than medium rare but it was delicious and the Xmas pudding cheesecake very well executed!

This is a fantastic restaurant that's a bit difficult to find and doesn't have much curb appeal. However, it's definitely worth the effort to locate. The food is outstanding, and you can enjoy a stunning view of the Solent. I highly recommend trying the wild mushroom bruschetta and the boiled fish plate.

I absolutely love this restaurant and visit it regularly. It offers great value, and the staff are incredibly polite and helpful. It's a true pleasure to sit down for coffee, a meal, or even both. With a fantastic atmosphere, friendly and accommodating staff, delicious coffee, and tasty food, this place has become one of my favorites!

I'm visiting from the Isle of Wight, so I'm not familiar with the area. I was looking for a seafood restaurant with a sea view and found Seashells. It was about a 40-minute drive, but we had some time to spare, so we decided to go for it. I'm so glad we did! The food was amazing and exceeded my expectations. Everything was delicious. Although I've never been one to waste food, we couldn't resist trying a dessert, and it was fantastic. I will definitely be back when I'm on the mainland!
