Food, service, location fantastic Hasso the best. Take his recommendations A must in Aschaffenburg!!! Local wine is fantastic.

Had a lovely meal here. Great atmosphere. Hasso, the waiter, was very helpful and spoke good English that helped us to make our selections from the German written menu.

My French friend and I from London visited this local resturant. Sruggled with language barrier but owner gentleman was kind enough and helped us. Yes, we had to wait for our meals more than avarage but it was absolutely delicious and homemade. Thanks again and...see you soon ! Voir le carte

Very friendly service and excellent food. The waiter took the time to explain what the dishes were (our German is limited) and which were typical of the region. All the dishes ordered were delicious. The 1/2 chicken was really exceptional - now I finally know what the German restaurants back home are trying (with much less success) to do!

While Ascheffanburg is not exactly the culinary capital of the world (or even Bavaria for that matter), we expected a bit more from the Tripadvisor #1 rated restaurant. The food was very bland, enough to fill you up, but nothing to write home about. The prices were not very low to begin with, and then they charged 4 Euro per person service charge (the only restaurant to do it on our 16 day trip of Bavaria).

First of all they messed up our booking which was reserved for and insisted that we booked for Secondly the staff and management don’t speak ANY English and are very rude and have zero concept of customer service. Menu is also only in...German. Surely they must have some tourists as they are on Trip advisor so basic English is necessary! And lastly after we manage to translate the menu through Google Translate they were not many choices for vegetarians. So we left. Voir le carte

It was a good job that I had booked, as the (small) restaurant was full when we arrived and it was too cold to eat outside. The waitress dealt with the whole room very efficiently, no rush, no fuss and no-one kept waitin. While my...wife battled he way through her two schnitzels, I enjoyed some of the best Asparagus I have ever eaten, which was cooked to perfection. The dessert of Apfelstrudel and vanilla sauce was also delicious. An excellent relaxed atmosphere, good wine and beer, excellent food and excellent service nothing more needs to be said.

This is a wonderful restaurant just off the main square. The food was exceptional but the service is very slow. And you know what? It doesn’t matter. There were two servers an older man and an older woman and they were trying their best...to accommodate six tables inside and at least tables outside with two large groups outside. Remarkable they could keep up! The food was extremely tasty we had the beef liver and the wild boar goulash and both were excellent. If you get the chance to visit Aschaffenburg you must eat here. Be prepared for a little wait.

We were looking for some authentic German food, and we found it! The restaurant is small and very quaint. The food exceeded our expectations. We were gifted a meatball appetizer that was very good, cold and with a spicy sauce, it was very different yet...really tasty. I ordered the pumpkin soup with salmon, it seemed an off combination but I’m up for trying new foods. It was extremely good, not sure if the pumpkin complimented the salmon or if it was the salmon that perfected the pumpkin, either way, it worked, I need that recipe. I had to order the Wienerschnitzel and warm potato salad, it was very very good. My husband had the medallions with spetzel and gravy, also excellent. Sehr Gut!!! Voir le carte
