"Stayed in the hotel here after booking a holiday through SunWeb. Location Excellent! Right in the centre of the town. All 3 lifts are close, so can easily access all the different ski areas. I would say the best located hotel in Saalbach. Wifi Doesn 't work. Rooms Basic but unbelievably clean, not a spot of dust! Beds and towels changed daily. Good amount of coathangers in the wardrobe. No kettle. Bathroom Small but useable, hot water for about 10 minutes then flicks between hot and cold. Balcony Shared. Views Cracking! Can see the piste from room 11. Breakfast Pretty poor. Ham, cheese and bread, 3 different cereal choices. Yoghurt (all seem to be blueberry flavoured). This didn 't change for the week so by day 7 we were pretty fed up of it. The staff (I think owners) made themselves fresh bacon and eggs daily and sat in the restaurant eating it while we 're eating the cold ham and cheese sandwich, kind of felt wrong. Check in the hotel was called Pension Schattbergstube on SunWeb, the transfer dropped us outside this restaurant and it really wasn 't clear if it was a hotel, I tried ask the man behind the bar but he didn 't speak any english. Luckily one of the waitresses did, she advised that it is the right place and housekeeping would show us to our room. Housekeeping didn 't speak any english either, no indication where to store the skis, what time breakfast was, anything. For the whole stay we were unable to comunicate with staff, I understand that it shouldn 't be expected for people to speak English, but there was no attempt to communicate Everywhere I have stayed previously we have at least used charades to try and make it through. I would stay at this hotel again for the location, not for anything else."

Located directly on the bottom of the Schattberg, it is very convenient for an apr ski or walk drink. Great menu, good food .

Ate here with my family one night during our summer holiday. Great food and service. Delicious pizzas and Wiener schnitzel at a reasonable price.

The food was great and not too expensive. Pizzas at 10 euros and typical Austrian food at a reasonabld price. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was cosy.

Lovely restaurant with great food and friendly service! Two young ladies serve guests with a smile on their face! Definitly a place to grab a beer and steak after whole day on the bike!

Good restorer with good view! The menu is large for all - from pizza to original Austrian cuisine. The service was also very friendly and helpful. I'd take back the baked potato flour first picture.

Preis-Leistung top!! Hatte Rumpsteak mit Maiskolben und Ofenkartoffel. Einfach alles war perfekt! Das Fleisch mit der Kräuterbutter, die Kartoffel mit dem Kräuerquark und der Mais. Auch der Grillteller von meinem Freund war hervorragend. Liebevoll zubereitet und lange warten musste man auch nicht. Der Service war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Gerne wieder!

We ate here 4 times in our week in Saalbach. The pizzas were some of the best we have ever had, even in Italy! Service was always very friendly and super efficient even though the restaurant was always really busy. Food was delicious and came very quickly. Great selection of wine and very reasonable prices. Want to say a huge thankyou to all the staff for helping making our trip to Saalbach a great one.

We were staying at the Saalbacherhof (a very nice hotel) but wanted to go somewhere different for a drink before dinner. This place is about 30 seconds away and is thus ideal. Drinks cheaper than the hotel and friendly attentive service although it got a little slow when they were busy. Sadly for a country with a fine brewing tradition a limited choice of beers but OK in all honesty. We got a little jaded with the 5 course fayre at the hotel so went here for dinner one night. We both had the mixed grill with apfel strudel to follow and very nice it was too, and reasonably priced as well. We liked the place so much it became our pub of choice for virtually our whole stay of two weeks.
