"This restaurant was an incredible surprise! We were on our way to our hotel and decided to stop by without checking any reviews. As we entered, we noticed a sign asking for patience due to being short-staffed, which made me a bit skeptical. However, the delicious smells wafting from outside hinted that we were in for something special. In the end, the staff was fantastic and attentive, and the food was outstanding—we ordered the seafood platter for two. They also offer gluten-free bread that actually tastes like real bread! But the real highlight was their salmon chowder, which I had never tried before; now I can’t imagine enjoying chowder any other way. I highly recommend you visit and experience it for yourself!"

"We called to book at this restaurant and the staff let us know they were booked for the evening. We were tired and hungry from a long day of travel and touring, and I asked them for walk in recommendations, which they kindly provided. While I was looking into those options, the staff at Red Skye called back and had a cancellation. We hurried over and were warmly greeted by the two kindest servers we've ever encountered. We enjoyed appetizers of scallops and cullen skink soup, then main courses of Langoustines and Mushroom Risotto. My husband and I shared all of the dishes, and topped the meal off with a rhubarb/berry crumble with vanilla ice cream. The servers also provided friendly conversation and assisted us in the best route to our next stop. By far, one of the best meals and definitely the kindest, most fun staff of any restaurants we dined in. Highly recommend, but book ahead!"

"We stopped at Sligachan for a meal but found it to be quite busy and somewhat chaotic. The options seemed limited, and my wife wasn’t impressed with the menu, so we decided to leave. Fortunately, we discovered Cafesia in Broadford, which is a beautiful place with friendly staff and a delightful menu. Our food was served quickly and tasted fantastic, making for a very enjoyable experience overall!"

"I ordered vegan haggis, chips, muddy peas, and curry sauce at this restaurant. The chips and curry sauce were delicious, but the vegan haggis was bland and the muddy peas were cold. Despite being hungry, I still found the meal to be satisfactory considering the price of £6.95, plus £1.50 for each curry sauce and muddy peas. The service was a bit strange as the staff claimed to be vegan-friendly, but did not provide me with helpful information when I asked about the haggis preparation. Overall, it was an okay option for a quick meal if you're hungry, but don't expect exceptional service."

"This was my favourite place I stayed in throughout all of Scotland. Service- impeccable. Each and every staff member we encountered at the Inn were friendly, helpful, and enthusiastic about making our stay better. Even service in the restaurant was wonderful. Location- this is only a short ride outside of Portree. If you’re looking to be IN the big tourist destination, this may not be the best option for you. But if you’re looking to get out of the hustle and bustle and into a small and cozy inn, this is it! Not to mention they have water view rooms, AND gum boots in most sizes for you to go exploring out in the mud flat outside of the hotel. This was such a surprise and a super fun activity! Rooms- phenomenal! We booked a double and Queen sea room, as they unfortunately were out of a 2nd queen room. We were simply able to push the two double together. The queen room was spacious, and the double room was the size of a standard hotel room in the USA. They both had walk in showers, towel warmers, and everything was updated and decorated tastefully. The breakfasts that were included with our room price were delicious and started each morning off right. We also ate in the restaurant the first evening we were here, which was equally as delicious. Couldn’t recommend more! Thank you to the whole team at the Hebridean Inn for such a lovely stay! We will be back during our next trip to Scotland, and will be recommending for all family and friends to stay here."
