Booked a table for the 5 of us. Very impressed with the quality of the food and the staff were very amenable and attentive. Very good wholesome food, huge portiins also, not over priced. Highly recommended for 'Pub grub '

I had never been to this restaurant before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. The food and service were excellent, with a wide variety of options on the menu. The portions were generous, so I didn't have room for dessert this time. I look forward to coming back to try the desserts as well. Voir le carte

We hosted our daughter's wedding reception at this restaurant last week. The function room was beautifully decorated and we had the added bonus of exclusive access to the garden area on one of the hottest days of the year. The hot food buffet was plentiful and excellent, and the staff were attentive. I would highly recommend this restaurant for any function.

Will not be visiting again, food delicious, (had Sunday roast) but that is not enough for me to visit again. Staff seemed disorganised and not sure of what they should be doing, pub very grubby and uncared for. Toilets disgusting. Customer service very poor and no sign of any manager/experienced employe working. It is a real shame as could be a really great place.

I Cant say how pleased we were, and Can't thank all the Staff at the Red Lion . They looked after us so well when we had a Small Wake for family and friends for a loved one who we sadly lost before Christmas. The Buffet they provided was great and plentiful. I made a reservation for a special birthday celebration with my family. We were seated and ordered drinks, only to later be informed that they were out of roasts (on a Sunday) and then that the kitchen was closed. We were extremely disappointed, especially since we had booked in advance. We decided to leave and were able to find a table at a much nicer restaurant. We will not be going back to this restaurant.

Took my future wife and her children out for a treat to celebrate successful exams. Ordered 3 '8 ' Oz steaks and a Cajun burger. Cost £65, that 's fine. The steaks were barely 2 Oz, and Cajun burger had no flavour. I had to cut my steak up and share it because I was so embarrassed. So, apart from my future family being shocked, I had undercooked chips, bland salad and a mushroom for £17. Meal took 50 minutes to come even though the place was empty. During that time every drinks round was£16. Staff were great but what a let down. We could have gone to Wetherspoons at half the price and had consistent food. A first for me this is. Went here for a family wake recently. Used the ladies on arrival and was appalled at what I saw. Paper strewn on cubicle floor, bin by basin literally overflowing with rubbish on floor including an empty crisp packet and dirty tissue paper around basin. We were hosting this wake so I was mortified at what family and friends would think, so asked at bar if it could be tidied up a bit. My husband said the gents was sadly in the same dreadful condition. We had been told it would be possible to shows photos on a screen in the room whilst wake was taking place and the pub had the necessary equipment needed.
