"Our first visit and we're already planning a second. Could not fault anything and would absolutely recommend to anyone. The staff were all friendly but not overbearing. We were kept up to date on our food as the kitchen was short staffed but other than a slightly longer wait than you would expect, you wouldn't know from the quality of the food. They've got the balance between fine dining and relaxed atmosphere just right. Service: Dine in"

"here twice on a recent trip to charlestown, cornwall. enough vegan choices on the menu to keep us both happy and well maintained. the food was delicious. we had banana flowers, chips with salat, vegan lasagne, chips salat, and both enjoyed the vegan lentil and thymian roasts on the second visit. the personal was friendly, the atmosphere was relaxed. our little dog was greeted and tasty and a bowl of water given. happy to recommend it. updated by previous review on 2019-10-16"

"we would not have had a warmer greeting (our it was a little cool, a beautiful lady greeted us and found a warm place for us next to a heating. we packed some covers and made us comfortable with some beautiful views over the valley. eating was as wonderful as the service. we shared the non-Meat anti pasti to start the potato skins. both were delicious, but the hummus on the anti pasti was excellent homemade with coriander from the pub's own kitchen garden. Unfortunately we were not allowed to steal the recipe! for the net I had the “Non-Fleischballs”. once again I was not disappointed. a huge part of fresh, homemade farewell. highly recommended."

"Genuinely flawless food, utterly exceptional. Whatever they pay that chef is not enough. Even has a brilliant selection of vegetarian options, not the usual swap meat for something else style menu lots of places seem to offer but instead menu options that are crafted with no need of a meat to create a complete dish. Lovely chill atmosphere. Lass running the bar was everything you could want from a host, without being overbearing. Will be coming back, that 's for sure. Vegetarian options: Amazing vegetarian options, far beyond the usual meat replacement options most places seem to offer."

"This restaurant is a hidden gem with a lovely atmosphere. The food and drinks were spectacular with delicious and generous portions. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. The decor is beautiful. It is also kid-friendly as there were other families dining with young children. The different height chairs were brilliant as they allowed the kids to find a chair that fit them well. High chairs were also available. The portions are a bit big but perfect for older kids, and at least we could steal some of the kids' meals."
