"my mother celebrated her at the weekend and it couldn't have been perfect! nicky and simon, where a joy around me and help on my mother and her partners special day, they woke up everything smoothly and without problems nothing was not too much to ask the food on the day was fantastic and everyone commented on how big it was! the newly renovated rooms are beautiful and so comfortable, all workers at the green drachen really made my mother and their partner tagesspecial and we all thank them for this especially nicky and their man! would recommend everyone"

"I had been in this pub for a while, but my family and I were on the way from cheltenham to Westonbirt at 17 o'clock and called for an early dinner. all four of us said that the meal was faultless, we enjoyed all three courses and cannot praise this place enough. such a great atmosphere, cordial greeting from the incredibly fabulous staff and a seat directly at the log tariff. what more can they demand. it is easy to find, beautiful location and has plenty of parking right next to the pub. in summer there is a large garden back. in februar this is the place to eat when they go to visit the colesbourne snowdrop gardens that are right in front of the house and not to miss. the menu at the colesbourne inn is huge and offers for everyone something wonderful, regardless of their taste or nutrition to choose. my calamari ‘Bar Bite’ size starter was superb and definitiw a greater part than we expected. the other appetizers, a black bell and black pudding with fried egg was superb as well as the bread selection we also ordered. mostly fish Pie....only full of a lot of different fish and whistle fish. my son had the steak and ale pier he claimed he was the best he had eaten in a very long time. two of us had the nut roast dinner.... I want my Christmas dinner to be as good as that. desserts of fruit crumbs and custard finished the meal with the obligatory glass or two of fizz. for each device in these times to offer this incredible selection of oriented, which is an absolute credit for them by the most kind of employees ever and the very high standards they did. highly recommended at any level possible. well made the colesbourne inn"

"We have a son with a disability so is a wheelchair user. We are so very lucky to have this pub on the doorstep! On this occasion there were 9 adults and 6 children!! The staff couldn’t have been more helpful. The food was lovely and we loved being able to spend quality time all together. A huge thank you! You have no idea how difficult it can be with a disabled person and you were all so welcoming and helpful."

"Having travelled from Fowey to Coleton Fishacre NT, then on to Topsham and finally from Topsham to Koloshi we were tired, hungry and stressed. We hadn't dined here before but I checked good old TA and this restaurant looked inviting so I booked well ahead.What a lovely place.Courteous service as soon as we entered the premises, pleasant ambience and the food- packed with flavour and umami. All the staff without exception were professional and attentive. We still had an 80 mile journey home so we had to cut having poppadoms and or starters but what we had: chicken madras with boiled rice, chicken jalfrezi with onion rice and garlic naan was handsome. My gin and soda was served perfectly and we relaxed after our long trek. We then rushed off after paying our bill. Within a few miles I realised that I'd left my mobile phone( never done that before! and phoned Koloshi Restaurant.Thankfully, they had my phone.I went back in and spoke with the Maitre D'hotel(lovely gentleman and he gave me my phone carefully wrapped in a paper bag. Phew.Excellent service. The total cost was £49.00 and worth it.We will visit again and very soon.Many thanks to all the Koloshi team."

"We had a meal at No 3 in the Merryfellow. While the food here was sensational, the service was sadly shocking. We'd booked a table for 8pm (party of 5), and finally got our food at 9.40pm. Additionally, we had to call staff over for everything, rather than them approach us and offer to help or take our order to be seated at our table, for drinks, food and additional drinks during our hour and forty minutes wait. The restaurant wasn't full at the time. I brought it up when the plates were cleared but instead of apologizing the waiter said it is usually busy at that time and they had been trying to stagger orders for the kitchen. I would suggest if a restaurant knows it's going to be busy at a certain time and can't get staff, they shouldn't take bookings for then. If we'd wanted to eat at 9.40pm we'd have booked a table for then. Such a shame as the food was amazing but sadly in this instance the front of house really let it down."
