"If most people 's exposure to vegan food is this, then I understand why it is so denigrated. Do I feel insulted? Yes, yes I do. I payed £35 for what ended up being, regrettably, the worst meal I think we 've ever had. My partner and I ordered two smoothies that were so watery and had so little flavour that a bottle of flavoured water would have satisfied us more. There was a tiny tray, yes a small baking tray not a plate or anything, of maybe a handful of practically raw chips and I counted 20 crumb sized pieces of quorn chicken style stuff on them. When I say raw, I mean raw too, literally uncooked. A tiny piece of bland avacado toast , that being that it really wasn 't that toasted and more waved in the direction of a radiator. And when I say tiny I mean it wasn 't even the size of a slice from a normal loaf. The final nail was the soup, spiced lentil soup that was worse than if I 'd bought a cuppa soup and made it with dishwater. I cannot stress enough the fact that the soup was so watery and devoid of flavour that I think if I 'd put a stock cube in a mug of water, it would have made a more enjoyable meal. Even worse again was that the toast that came with it was so firmly un-toasted and such bad bread that cardboard may have been an improvement. Nothing was seasoned, at all, not with salt, not with pepper, and with no discernable spices whatsoever apart from vague chilli heat in the soup. When I asked for salt and pepper I was given two of those small sachets that don 't have enough for a cracker let alone a bland bowl of bland soup. And is it not bad that the metal of the spoon was the predominant flavour? I 've been vegan on and off for years now for a multitude of reasons, and between cooking on my own and eating elsewhere I have had many many different types of completely vegan food that is fun and exciting, interesting and tasty, and from lots of different regions of the planet; I know that vegan food can be not just good, but great. Sadly, what 's on offer here doesn 't even come close to any of that and is in fact worse than anything I 've ever had before, and hopefully worse than anything I 'll ever have again. While I commend the half-friendly atmosphere and attempt at making the place feel warm and welcoming, there has clearly been an amount of effort put in, I have come away feeling scammed, and quite frankly angry. I 'm upset and angry enough that it has made me write the first restaurant review of my life for example, it really was that bad. You know when you see something like Gordan Ramseys Kitchen nightmares and really, genuinely wonder how anyone can be that incompetent, inept and incapable of making even remotely decent food and a comfortable environment, and you can 't possibly think that those places exist... Well yes they do and this is my first encounter with one of them, and I got charged at least double what I should have in the process. To say that the experience felt cheap, disappointing and offensive is an understatement, it really really is. When most places now offer at least a handful of vegan options, places like this that claim to make tasty vegan food really, really need to do better. They do vegans and veganism as a whole a disservice by being this poor quality and disingenuous. Within literally a few seconds walk from here, there are off the top of my head alone at least 6 genuinely wonderful places to eat and drink with exceptional vegan options that will have you wanting to go back again and again, and that 's what I 'd encourage you to do. Avoid the pretenders and the half-assed attempts like this and go and have something you 'll genuinely enjoy for half the price."

We went for a birthday lunch, the service was brilliant and there was a good variety of food on the menu and portion sizes were generous.

Food here is affordable and very nice! It helps that the restaurant is also stunning! The staff are also lovely and offer great recommendations if you're unsure of what to get.

Me and a group of work colleagues went yesterday to Prana Cafe and had a great time. Food and drink were amazing, customer service was great and even had lube music playing which is a new thing they have for weekends now). My Buddha bowl and ferror rocher milkshake hit the spot perfectly

Came here not once but twice during our visit to Leicester first for dinner and then for brunch. Each time was so amazing! Great options for gluten free and vegan and the place is so warm and friendly. I had a Massaman curry and asked for it as spicy as possible and the taste of it was so good! Then I returned to get pancakes which were the best pancakes I've ever had! If you're in Leicester, check this place out!

Rated 2 as they are no longer a vegan cafe, but fully omni. I always enjoyed their food, the atmosphere, thought the service was good, it was wonderful to have that safe haven and they were so flexible with my toddler doing things like a bowl of ice cream or peanut butter on toast. If it was still a vegan cafe I would have given a 4 rating (loosing a 1 because of no ramp readily available for disabled people and not rotating the menu). The staff were always kind too. Will now be going to Healthy Louise instead.

I absolutely love this cafe and it is vegan, it is definitely my go to place when in Leicester. The food is sooo delicious and the cakes are mouth watering, and the best part is no animals have been harmed! All of the staff are so lovely and it is situated in a very impressive old building with lots of comfortable seating. It is such a calming atmosphere, and yes it is slightly more expensive but the menu is awesome and the quality of the food/drinks is amazing, you won't be disappointed! Can't wait to come back soon, especially for more cake!

"Went here last night at the tail end of an office Christmas party and we stumbled (quite literally inside having been turned away at a restaurant next door. It was past closing though their OPEN sign was still on. Anyway! Although Oppa was just about to close, they took us in, a group of 6, and stayed open until we finished. When I realized we were in a Korean restaurant, I was so excited; I've been searching for a good Korean restaurant in the midlands. My colleagues were much less so as they had never had Korean food and were unfamiliar with everything on the menu. I ordered for everyone and despite some of them being difficult one colleague kept asking for samosas, aah! the service was faultless. Staff were super attentive and helpful, patient, friendly, good fun, and extremely accommodating. Just perfect! And they stayed open for us quite late without rushing us out, what more can you ask for? Ok, so the food. It was SO so good and I'm already planning to go back. The kimchi was bang on how I like (a big deciding factor for me strongly fermented/pickled and spicy, and fresh. All the bulgogi (marinated meat , dolsot bibimbap (sizzling rice bowl , jjigae (stew/ramen style soups , seafood and extras that were served tasted just like I had hoped they would. Presentation was great everything looked properly appetizing and vegetables and seafood, etc were all clean and fresh. I was too busy stuffing my face and enjoying the moment and company to take photos, but the few photos I've seen on here are true to life. Other things people might be interested in: This restaurant is kitted out to cook Korean BBQ at/in/on your table. It is spacious, with lots of tables and room to move around. Decor is tasteful and minimal. It is clean and indeed I was warned by staff when going upstairs to the ladies' to be careful as the stairs and the toilets had all just been cleaned (and clean they were! . If you're looking for good Korean food, look no further. If you're looking to try Korean food for the first time, this is a great place to start. Go for it! Might see you there, if I can help it :D [I've copied this review over from where I originally posted it because this listing and the one for OPPA in Leicester are the same exact restaurant, FYI]"
