"A really nice restaurant, probably the best Italian food in hartlepool. Book early on busy nights as their tables fill up fast. All pizzas are made from scratch and you can taste the difference in the dough. All ingredients are fresh and taste amazing. Sauces are clearly made in house and have an authentic taste, with a light use of garlic and chilli's. Portion sizes for the mains is good, but is amazing for the starters, try the potato skins. Waiting staff are fantastic and always happy to help."

The bruchetta starter was amazing, definitely a new favourite of mine, and the portion sizes are massive. You definitely can't leave hungry. Very nice atmosphere, a bit loud, with a great view out the windows.

next to the steps is a beautiful meal. have been a few times and enjoy the restaurant very much. well priced eating with a large selection and selection of the fixed price set meals. beautiful view of quay harbour.

The meal was stunning as always. The atmosphere is fantastic, the staff is lovely, and the food is excellent. My filet steak was incredible, and I can't stop thinking about the Ferrero Rocher cheesecake. I highly recommend this place! Voir le carte

At the edge of Portofino, I was a bit nervous about the gluten-free options. However, it turned out to be no problem at all! I was able to enjoy exactly what I had eaten before my diagnosis, and they even provided gluten-free bread while we waited for our meals. I'm a very happy customer and will definitely be returning! Thank you for taking into account people with allergies and dietary requirements.

First visit and really enjoyed it. Food was really tasty and good value offer before 7pm for 2 courses. Service was hit and miss trying to order drinks, staff wandering around but difficult to catch anyone's eye to order, plus 5 starters arrived and not the 6th lamb koftas) for a good 5 minutes which really isn't acceptable at all. Food was very tasty and portion sizes were really good. Would definitely return.
