A really good old fashioned city pub, with good beer, reasonable wine list and great food at sensible prices. Very friendly staff— the real thing.

Honestly, we took our daughter and her house mates out for a late Sunday Roast dinner and it was sooo delicious, from pork belly, to Turkey to beef, amazing! Incredible puddings too … best Sunday roast potatoes Yorkshire puds … we’ll be back soon!

If you’re looking for a delicious Sunday roast this is the place to go. One of the best I’ve ever had. And there are a fantastic team behind the bar. The guys are friendly,fun and really try to make your time there enjoyable. Dogs are...welcome too.

Called in on the spur of the moment for Sunday lunch and so glad we did. Will be our new go to pub. Absolutely delicious roast turkey, beef (rare) and pork with free flowing veg, two different types of gravy and excellent service. We just...about managed one pudding between three of us. Will definitely be going back.

What a fantastic place. Went here after a recommendation and we were not disappointed. Best Sunday lunch I have had in ages, very authentic with great ingredients. I had the turkey and it was fab, my wife only had soup but said it was delicious....The staff are brilliant, so simple but so refreshing to find such great service. Ordered three roasts through uber eats and the delivery guy that arrived gave us the wrong order and not only that the food was all spilt everywhere. However, after calling The Port Of Call to complain/explain the situation the manager that I spoke to was...extremely apologetic and ended up sending a new order back out directly. Amazing service and when the food arrived it was fantastic. 5 stars for food quality and more importantly great service

Hidden away down a side street in Clifton is this gem. Having been caught up in traffic, arriving late in the evening, tired, hungry and thirsty, we were warmly welcomed and accomodated. Nothing was too much trouble, the service was fantastic. Good food, great beer,...dog friendly, vegan and vegeterian options, we considered ourselves to be very fortunate to have stumbled upon this establishment. On our next visit to Bristol this will be a definite Port of Call for our family.
