"This is my first visit here and probably my last for food. We ordered the Soldiers Big Breakfast which I think was £9.95. It comprised of 2 Sausages, 2 fried eggs, 2 rashers of bacon, 2 slices of toast, 2 hash browns, baked beans and mushrooms. The quantity was good value for money but it was luke warm, not one item but everything. Even the tea that was ordered with it was luke warm. The eating area was clean and tidy and the food arrived quite quickly which make me think it was all kept in a food warmer and not cooked freshly. The garden centre itself is well stocked but the food is a big let down abd I won't be eating here again."

It's always a delight to stop by. The restaurant is filled with plants, has a gift shop, and offers a cafe all in one convenient location.

Was helped in the gift shop today by a lovely lady who I later found out was called Elaine. She went over and above to assist and was so helpful. Excellent service will definitely be making a return visit.

Popped into the cafe at the crownhill Garden centre. Bit of a wait to be served, but the staff were very friendly. The food was absolutely lovely, big portion sizes. The cakes are amazing. Will definitely be returning.

A good range of plants and garden accessories along with a well stocked gift shop. Also available on a visit is a good cafe serving hot or cold meals along with a wide selection of cake etc. Well worth a visit if you're into gardening or just looking for light refreshments. Voir le carte

This restaurant was recommended to me by a friend and I absolutely love it. The atmosphere is great with an abundance of beautiful flowers and plants. The gift section is fantastic and offers something for everyone. The cake is also delicious - we arrived just before closing time and the cakes were still fresh and tasty. I highly recommend this place.

I've often driven passed this place but today I had a bit of time on my hands so we popped in for a look around. I was very impressed as it's not just a garden centre but also a gift shop, cafe, pet store and much more. I was fascinated by the beautiful Venus Fly Trap plants, the wide variety of gorgeous, colourful plants of all shapes and sizes and the wide array of garden equipment from tools to compost to lights and much more.

I frequent this establishment often and they offer a fantastic variety of plants. The shop inventory is fabulous and it's my preferred place for lovely cards and gifts. The cafe, however, is just average and is the main disappointment. The prices are high and they still do not offer skimmed milk (despite my requests for over 15 years!) and there is always a long wait to be served during lunchtime. I think the cafe could benefit from making some simple changes to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction. Despite this, I would still recommend paying a visit.

A wonderful visit to the Plymouth garden Centre today and started off with lunch in cafe on sight, the wife had a Tuna mayo baguette and I had the Ham salad baguette, they were delicious served with a side salad. friendly staff and clean toilets, it is disable friendly. After lunch we went around the garden centre it self and they offer a lovely range of bedding plants shrubs fruit trees ,pretty much everything you need for the garden. The shop offers a wide range of garden products. There is a large car park on site. We'll worth a visit even if just meeting up with friends for lunch.

"Visited on a busy Saturday evening. General impression is the restaurant is clean, well presented and evidently well liked for how many people were in the small dining area. A little noisy, particularly in the confined space beside the kitchen, when seated close beside a louder table. As the evening progressed, we felt quite cold not sure if the heating was on? Service from the staff was outstanding, very friendly, polite, attentive, but food was slow to arrive. We were a little perplexed by having the appetiser on the table before our starter/main order had been taken, so having to work around still having the menus. The smoked butter was very strong my partner liked it, it was too much for me. Both fish starters were good, with the mackerel our favourite. The main courses were OK. The lamb was fine, but served with lamb fat root veg meant the whole plate was very similar flavoured, and the green beans/salsa verde felt like an afterthought. The skate wing was nice, and the crispy capers were a new and pleasant experience. The desserts rescued the food for me the creme brulée was outstanding, and the chocolate special was very good, with exception of a slightly chewy meringue. I feel I'm being picky with my criticisms, but fig tree is definitely priced higher than other more standard fare restaurants in Plymouth where we have also had very good food."
