"We have eaten lunch at Plymouth Garden Centre on a number of occasions and have enjoyed it until today Thursday 26th October 2023. Time just before 12 noon. We decided to have lunch and we were waiting in the queue. There were two female staff at the checkout. One of them, a lady with short hair coughed into her bare hand not once but again a couple of minutes later. She had no mask and no gloves in fact, not even a tissue. She could easily have been handling food later on and we were quite shocked. As it was she was using the till and bacteria could have been spread. At that point we decided to leave. Covid is now becoming widespread again but even if it wasn’t this is totally unacceptable behaviour in front of customers at a restaurant and makes me concerned about what could be happening in the kitchen. We will not be visiting again."

As always the food was great! A hiccup with the booking was sorted satisfactorily and the table was soon ready. A really busy day but we were advised of a wait for food. Arrived quicker than expected. Take home cake was lovely!

This is the most wonderful Coffee shop/Garden centre. The menu is varied the home made cakes are just wonderful. The gift shop is such a delight it is a must see. The garden centre it self is so well maintained. The staff are amazing and I would recommend anyone to visit here.

Nice restaurant, clean and airy. Good selection of hot and cold food with some nice cakes and scones. Range of barista coffees available served hot but totally tasteless (coloured hot water). Was busy but was served reasonable swiftly and politely over lunchtime. Would go again but would avoid coffee! Voir le carte

Family morning get together after laying flowers in a local graveyard. Excellent service, choice and taste. First time I've seen my brother stuffed full breakfast (and a half! Fresh, clean and well laid out, the selection of cakes making it hard to resist them, but they are kept in mind for a future visit....

Was pleasantly pleased with my visit to the cafe at Plymouth garden centre today meet up with friends for a bit of lunch and catch up as it was we all had omelette one with cheese two with mushrooms all with salad and food was very good even though it was very busy it was only a short wait for food to arrive. What was nice to see they did not over price there food and there was plenty of it even price of pre cut cake was good

Went with friend and I ordered the sausage and egg bap with a regular latte. The lady on till got quite confused with my order and asked me four times what I wanted, then said my card had not been accepted, when in fact it had. But that aside I would still not have written a review, other than for the terrible bap! It contained one measly sausage cut in half with an over cooked hard egg. Price £7.85 such a rip off, will definitely not return. Voir le carte

How to ruin your Sunday morning . Went to safe . Arrived 11-10 am . Told the breakfast is only served from 1030am until 11am really we then decided to have the same ingredients in a bap . Was told this was part of breakfast menu . We then decided to have egg and bacon sandwich this is allowed is it not the same ???? . After this it took 5 minutes to serve 3 coffees . The carrot cake was a disappointment . Only saving grace was a cappuccino was pleasant . A real shame as the last visit 9 months ago was awesome .

First visit here. I wouldn 't call the regular latte size 'regular ' at all. More like child size lattes but still priced at £2.25. If I go again I 'll make sure I pay the 40p extra each for large lattes in the hope that I get at least regular sized drinks. One of the staff behind the counter made a big thing of the fact that we had taken our own tray to the counter rather than let her take one from under the counter. I was made to feel I 'd really transgressed, but with it being a first visit I wasn 't aware of their system, each coffee shop has a slightly different way of doing things.

"Visited on a busy Saturday evening. General impression is the restaurant is clean, well presented and evidently well liked for how many people were in the small dining area. A little noisy, particularly in the confined space beside the kitchen, when seated close beside a louder table. As the evening progressed, we felt quite cold not sure if the heating was on? Service from the staff was outstanding, very friendly, polite, attentive, but food was slow to arrive. We were a little perplexed by having the appetiser on the table before our starter/main order had been taken, so having to work around still having the menus. The smoked butter was very strong my partner liked it, it was too much for me. Both fish starters were good, with the mackerel our favourite. The main courses were OK. The lamb was fine, but served with lamb fat root veg meant the whole plate was very similar flavoured, and the green beans/salsa verde felt like an afterthought. The skate wing was nice, and the crispy capers were a new and pleasant experience. The desserts rescued the food for me the creme brulée was outstanding, and the chocolate special was very good, with exception of a slightly chewy meringue. I feel I'm being picky with my criticisms, but fig tree is definitely priced higher than other more standard fare restaurants in Plymouth where we have also had very good food."
