"I had my first jaunt on Saturday the mai bank holiday weekend on recommendation from friend/workmate and I am happy with what I found. a beautiful place with a great layout and attentive service. filz welcomes and comfortably wait for my somewhat later coming party of one. I was dressed and recommended to start the economical and crispy poched egg. it was amazing! we ate in the restaurant area where I ordered and thoroughly enjoyed macaroni cheese and garlic bread together with salat, while my date that had already a big lunch on this day had the steak that he was filled to get through. I like this place and will hopefully be back in the future. it also helps to have a beautiful small parking"

"We were visiting Bottesford from the Southeast, hoped the previous review about cooking from a book was slightly harsh and decided to give the India Spice a go possibly the worst ‘curry’ I have ever tasted. Or rather, not tasted that is the problem, the food is not reminiscent of any Indian curry I have ever eaten. It’s more akin to a packet of Uncle Ben’s rice with some sort of bland sauce covering it. I have genuinely made better curries myself. This restaurant makes the supermarket’s own brand curry offerings look 5 star. Save your money and instead, take a short drive to Grantham where there are authentic Indian restaurants."

"Visited the Thatch with my wife for an evening meal overnight accommodation. Booked as a result of a recommendation by a friend reviews given by people who have previously visited. The whole experience lived upto expectations. The welcome from Sammy (owner) was welcoming sincere. Food was of a very good standard, service by waitress (Megan) excellent. The accommodation was both good value clean more than adequate for our requirements. Would very much recommend hope to visit again"

"We have been eating at Paul’s since 1997 when his restaurant was located in Redmile and called Feathers. We followed him to Bottesford and experienced same exceptional service and food. We took many visitors there during our time in England. Most recently, we traveled to England from USA and celebrated our wedding anniversary here. Food continues to be outstanding. We couldn’t get a taxi or Uber from Bottesford back to West Bridgford where we were staying, so his two daughters drove us back after restaurant closed. Outstanding food, atmosphere and service.
