"On a Bank Holiday Sunday evening, after the coronation concert on Memorial Fields in Godalming, we had the choice of dining at one of the town's many excellent pubs, the poorly reviewed Cote, or a cozy Italian restaurant that seemed empty but quickly filled up. We opted for the Italian restaurant and were pleasantly surprised. Throughout the evening, the restaurant filled up with families, couples, and solo diners all enjoying themselves. The menu offered a variety of options, with 10 starters, 15 pasta dishes, 15 pizzas, and 10 meat/fish mains to choose from. We tried the penne aubergine and spaghetti octopus, both of which were delicious. The spaghetti dish was particularly impressive with an abundance of octopus, resembling a scene from War of The Worlds. Our starters of fried goats cheese and mushroom mush were also tasty, and the tiramisu dessert was a generous portion of quality pudding that we had to share. The service was efficient and friendly, and the experience was overall a great choice in a town lacking in bistros."

Staff pleasant Christmas meal of turkey was not good. Potatoes looked as though they had been left from day before and veges were one small piece of broccoli. Food is very over priced for the quality and portions.

The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere and delicious food. The staff is excellent. However, due to the many takeaway and delivery services, the side door is always open. This makes the restaurant cold and not ideal for enjoying an evening meal.

Always our ‘go to’ for Friday night supper. Lovely, attentive staff, busy and full tables . Good menu, but we always enjoy starters: Calamari plus Asparagus Parma Ham wraps followed by either Seafood Risotto, Swordfish, Duck, Sea Bass or Lamb Chops. Spoiled for consistent choice Voir le carte

The service at this restaurant was very friendly and accommodating. They were very helpful in assisting us with modifying menu items to cater to our vegan/vegetarian preferences. This allowed us to choose from a variety of dishes, and the ones we ultimately selected were delicious.

have been here many times for dinner and tried pizza and pasta dishes, my favourite Fegato (calves liver and onion) and I have to say overall it is a great place to eat. Basically my go-to as a local. Yes the odd issue with service when it’s busy but what establishment does not. I do not understand one star reviews or the real motivation for them based on a single visit. P.S. the red wine Salice Salantino is worth trying a it is an ongoing joke with one of my colleagues that we risk buying the place out it, though it’s never happened.
