Paws For Thought Cat Cafe

We had an absolutely amazing time. It was really lovely to see people so genuinely happy at work and who cared so much about the cats and customers. Right through from booking to saying goodbye, how much staff care about ‘Paws for thought’ was evident. Every customer and cat seemed to be enjoying themselves!

Small elegant venue and clearly a must for cat lovers BUT if you are dairy intolerant it’s a disaster. Limited menu and weirdly every savoury option bar one is stuffed full of cheese but they go to the trouble of offering gluten free cake. It was also super expensive when taking the cover charge into account. Loved the cats but won’t return.

Today was our first time visiting the cafe and we were impressed with the fantastic setup. The staff were all very polite and helpful, the food was delicious and reasonably priced, and the standout feature was definitely the beautiful cats! To be honest, I'm a regular AND they recognise me. Coeliac disease is well understood here and the dairy free ice-cream is approved by a lactose free friend. I'm also a cat lover and theres nothing better than hanging out with the floofs. They're very well cared for and evidently living their best life. Give Luna a friendly stroke, she's my favourite!

We visited for the first time and were made to feel very welcome. The staff were friendly, the service was quick and the food and drinks were good value. We came for the cats and there were about eight all of whom looked happy and comfortable with lots of spots for them to play or snooze. The cafe operates a one hour time slot for customers and it is advisable to pre book. We really enjoyed our visit and hope to return soon.

A present for my daughter for her 25th birthday. We absolutely loved it. Staff lovely. Cats were just perfect. We loved them . We had afternoon tea . Delicious sandwiches and cakes . Scones clotted cream and jam . Tea coffee as much as you like. Absolutely would recommend this place . We had an amazing afternoon We had a soft spot for mercury and little Emmy . Birthday treat for 10 year old daughter and well worth the visit. The cats are all very friendly and clearly very happy in the cafe. They have their own space they can go to but all are happy to be in with the customers. Emmy is a real character but all the cats are stars! Special mention to Luna and Lena who both sat with us during our visit. Food was lovely and really relaxing space. Clean and not too many tables at a time to respect the space for the cats too. Owner and staff passionate about service and also the cats that have been rescued there. Nice little gift shop as well. We would love to return and highly recommend!

First visit today to this cafe. Perfect for a relaxing light lunch cake stop. The cats are all rescued and well cared for. There are some negative reviews about the cover charge, but it keeps the cats fed and healthy and having them stroll around makes a pretty unique experience. If you’re going to moan about putting your hand in your pocket to help out a rescue cafe you should probably stay away for everyone’s sake. You do need to book a table in advance. Great sensibly priced food and drink, vegan and gf catered for. Lovely attentive staff, clean surroundings, I wish it was a bit closer to me and I’d make it a regular thing.

I took my 16 year old daughter here as park of her Christmas treat. We both had the afternoon tea which came with lots of cakes, scone and sandwiches. Lots of sweetness if you have a sweet tooth. I would have preferred a little more savoury but that's a personal preference. It's lovely to be able to move about and visit the cats where they are chilling, they were less keen to visit people at the tables but it's their home so too right they should be in charge. My daughter really enjoyed the visit and it was nice that they have a little shop to buy memorabilia too.
