"We stopped by for lunch and were pleased with the food, which was quite good. However, we found the menu a bit challenging to read due to the small print; larger text would be helpful. Additionally, it would be beneficial to have a handrail for easier access, as I found the steep steps difficult to navigate due to my age. Overall, I would rate the service 5 out of 5 and the location 5 out of 5."

I had no idea this place existed, even though I visited Hurley. It was a fantastic discovery! I highly recommend the fish finger sandwich; the size of the fish fingers makes it seem like they came from a whale!

It had been a while since we’d been to the King’s Head for a meal. My goodness, it didn’t disappoint! The staff were really welcoming and friendly, the food was to die for and they looked after our dog as well as they looked after us! We stopped by for lunch on our way to Winchester and were greeted with a warm welcome right when we arrived. The atmosphere was delightful, and the service was efficient. Norbert and his team gave a warm greeting, we stayed in one of their room, lovely and cosy. Very dog friendly with dog treat on arrival. "We had a wonderful evening at this restaurant! Our waiters, Seb and Josh, were friendly, attentive, and highly knowledgeable. The food was delicious—thanks to the chefs—and we enjoyed proper pies that had filling, not just a crust. The desserts were delicious as well, all served in a fun atmosphere. "We had pre booked a table inside for Sunday lunch but decided to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine. As it was getting busy we were told it would be table service. Alice came to our table to take our orders and was lovely, friendly and polite. Our couple of our party wanted specifics regarding their food and Alice was very accommodating as were the kitchen staff. Our food was brought to us quickly and was delicious and exactly as we wanted. Alice was attentive throughout and we never had to wait for drinks or anything else we might need. We really enjoyed our food and the location and service was great. Would highly recommend."

"Jess and the team recently hosted us for a surprise 50th wedding anniversary celebration for my parents. This all started in the spring of 2021 with the event to be held late summer. Unfortunately due to one of the guests of honour contracting covid, we were forced to rearrange that booking to January 2022. Jess was extremely helpful and understanding and helped us with all the upheaval of having to rearrange. Well yesterday was the day and with flu now affecting a few of our guests, once again, Jess was extremely accommodating with the necessary changes in guest numbers. We finally managed to hold the event and boy, what an event! The atmosphere, decor, readiness to help from the team, the food and drinks, I simply could not have asked for a better event! My parents were totally taken aback and had the most wonderful day. So a huge THANK YOU to Jess and All the Team at the White Horse, we will be back for more meals."

"hursley needed a decent pub for the years, I found that the competition was a alienating atmosphere and the quality of the food was bad. since hearing the dolphin had new owners I felt that I had to test it, and I must say I am 100% impressed! and I am. said the pub will also be restored in the next months! first I visited with my daughter for a dessert with just us. we were greeted in the pub and our table shown. everything was very clean and my daughter immediately fell in love with the old building and history. the menu included some good clips for children, as we all know that they are with what they eat! eating was amazing! such a high quality and quite expensive. it was made clear to the house and there was no part of it I did not enjoy. the same applies to my daughter who cleaned her teller, and this is rare for her! ben, the manager was warm and friendly and checked for us, but was not intrusive. that can be difficult so I was impressed! the employees were so friendly and very interacting when they spoke to us, they went extra mile to take allergies too. If I were not a native, I would rent one of the rooms they have so that I could eat and drink with a short stolper to bed! if they were not, then they do not wait, the new owners also have the hunters and this is another amazing pub, so it is great to see that they know what they do and use local products and keep the community feeling of the village alive. I would have made more photos of the food, but it was too good to wait for photos! I'll take more when I'm next!"
