"Un hôtel-restaurant 3 étoiles qui en vaut 5! Nous avons fêté l'anniversaire de maman avec toute la famille dans cet hôtel que nous ne connaissions pas et quelle chance nous avons eu de réserver un week-end chez eux. Le personnel tant le patron, que les personnes de la réception, du service et d'entretien ont été EXCEPTIONNELS. D'une sympathie et d'un enthousiasme incroyable. Les chambres sont petites mais d'une propreté parfaite, l'hôtel est décoré avec beaucoup de goût et de soin. Le repas a été excellent et de qualité. N'hésitez surtout pas à réserver dans cet hôtel super sympathique vous ne le regretterez pas! Et si vous êtes avec des enfants, ces derniers seront extrêmement bien reçus, les nôtres on été enchantés. Merci encore à toute la team de l'Hôtel Kernen, vous avez rendu la fête encore plus belle. Rooms: Très belles chambres, petites mais soignées, propres et confortables. Literie au top. Chambre familiale fantastique. "We went to the restaurant for food. Food was decent but server was very rude. When we asked for a recommendation on dessert the guy had the audacity to say “ again same question. Why do people from your country ask the same question. If you read the menu maybe you will learn a little more from there. “ He basically judged us on our country which was racist and then when asked if he can take a picture he said “ Sorry im not a photographer. You can take a picture at that spot but im not a photographer. I have work to do “ Wonder what made him give this customer service in such a wonderful country where people are known to be very nice and courteous. We talked to the manager i think her name was Magda and explained the whole situation. She apologized . Very disappointed with the experience. 3 star for food and -1 for the service . Service: 1"

"Super friendly service from charming staff. The menu was varied to suit many tastes and with less choice of Indian food than we expected . However, the main dishes were all delicious and the desserts were good too. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere and we would recommend it particularly for families with kids."

"Auf Empfehlung unseres Hotels besuchten wir das uns noch nicht bekannte Restaurant mit (z. T. sehr) guten Renommé. Es liegt mit fantastischer Aussicht etwas oberhalb Saanen, mit einer grossen und schönen Terrasse, welche allerdings Wetter bedingt geschlossen war. Inneneinrichtung bequem, viel sichtbares Holz, Tische sind grosszügig dimensioniert, z. T. etwas nahe beieinander. Die Leistungen der Küche waren allesamt hoch bis sehr hoch, die Karte nicht allzu gross. Wir entschieden uns für Erdbeeren & Avocado Salat, Salat mit Eierschwämmchen - beide SEHR gut, Rinds-Tartar, Kalbssteak mit Spinat - alles bestens abgeschmeckt und von hoher Qualität. Hoch bis sehr hoch sind auch die Preise - Gstaad lässt grüssen! Beispiel? Spinat als Beilage zum CHF 49.- - teuren Kalbssteak wird mit zusätzlichen CHF 12.- verrechnet. Eindrucksvolle Weinkarte. Die Dame welche uns servierte war zwar distanziert, aber freundlich, erfahren, professionell und angenehm, mit guter Übersicht. Die (wahrscheinlich ursprünglich schwedische) Chefin des Hauses ist uns von der Begrüssung bis zur Verabschiedung leider nur negativ aufgefallen: überheblich, kalt, uninteressiert. Stammgäste wurden zwar überaus herzlich begrüsst und teilweise betreut, neue Gäste wie wir kaum zur Kenntnis genommen. Da sind wir von unseren schwedischen Bekannten anderes gewohnt. Schade!Was uns auch noch als ungewöhnlich aufgefallen ist: der Name der Besitzer ist auf der Website leider nirgends zu finden, auch nicht auf der Seite 'Gastgeber'."
