"Me and my partner booked for 6pm but arrived 25 mins earlier and this was no problem at all, we were seated and had our drinks order taken within 10 minutes. The service was flawless and as they were fully booked we were very looked after by our waiter and the restaurant manager. Our starters and mains were very quick to come out considering how busy they were, the food is absolutely outstanding and would love to eat here again. I can’t thank the restaurant manager and our waiter enough for their kindness and attentiveness. 10/10 would eat here again and would recommend to anyone. Beats any Miller and Carter steak by 10 miles !!"

Superb steaks, atmosphere and value, during covid unlock we have been regular visitors and have visited at least 5 times with family and friends and each time have nothing less than superb steaks in a great atmosphere and at great value. I cannot wait to December to visit again.

The best steak we’ve ever had...Wow! Highly recommend the butchers jus as a side sauce Excellent service, felt very safe (Covid hygiene in place) atmosphere was spot on. (This review is from foodies who do not recommend lightly). We can’t wait to go again! Compliments to the Chef Front of house team!

Had a fantastic lunch here today to celebrate my sons 18th birthday. Food fantastic staff very attentive, but not over the top . Had an issue with my Son's steak. It was dealt with efficiently and as it was his birthday the chef bought him a drink to apologise. Cant say fairer than that. Lovely place for a celebration. Thank you x

Came down from Chesterfield to visit a friend, fancied steak. Was recommended Ounce. Was highly delighted. Steak was cooked to perfection. As a chef myself it is really easy to critises others food but the steak was absolutely amazing. Top class at a very reasonable price. Excellent service and a nice setting. Well done. Will definitely recommend and return. Thank you all. Really made my day.

After our last visit I said we would return and we did. We came for Sunday lunch and WOW.....what can I say!! Absolutely awesome, the beef was superb and the gravy...oh yes the gravy. When you order a sticky toffee pudding dessert to share and the server says 'I wouldn 't share that ' you just know it 's going to be good.....and it was, and she was right!! Already booked in for the next occasions.

We visited during the week to benefit from the £1 per pound as we never visited before and we heard a lot of good things about it.We ordered the butchers choice and it came as ordered in term of type of cooking and perfectly seasoned. The chips were really nice too. We ordered the black garlic butter which was nice but nothing special really.The service was attentive and not over the top and the COVID restrictions were clear and well respected.Overall, a great evening
