"Disappointed in overall experience. My friends and I were at the oregano for an afternoon tea. When the servers took our orders, they had to be asked and prompted to tell us what kind of teas they had. There was no menu for an afternoon tea on the table, a tray of about 12 quarter sandwiches and some food was put on our table with no one going through what we were to expect from the oregano’s afternoon tea (no explanation of cakes or tea/ coffee refills). The food was not enough for the 5 of us. Once we started, the teas were brought out and the pots were filled halfway, so two of us asked for more water. When the server was taking the pots away, she spilled hot water on my hand. I reacted and her response was “that happens when the pot is filled”. No apology. We had to point out that an apology should be the first thing offered. We spoke to the manager about our issues, he apologised on behalf of the server but didn’t go any further, he said that the menu was online expecting that we take out our phones to look it up … this is a “sample menu ”. When the time came for the bill, there was no indication of compensation of the poor service and only took a glass of wine off the bill. We were still charged full price. On our way out, we spoke to the owner who assured us he would be in touch after explaining our displeasure and disappointment. This was 3 days ago. Don’t expect much when you visit here."

Was there for a 40th on Saturday. The surroundings were beautiful. Staff great and very friendly. Food was fantastic. Would deffo recommend. 10/10. Well done x

A WONDERFUL Christmas lunch for 45 disabled pensioners. Great atmosphere, delicious food, good range of drink and all served by cheerful, helpful and considerate staff. I would have give ten stars if I could. Thank you to the Eagle Lodge.

First time at oregano in a long time since moving away from the area. Food was excellent, great value at £12 for 2 courses lunch menu. Service was fantastic considering only 2 servers on. Will definitely be back and recommending to others! Voir le carte

Food and service was terrible,waitress had a bad attitude. The menu was very poor and had to wait over an hour for food which came at different times the children were finished before we got ours.all the food was bland or greasy would never come back

Excellent venue for our annual get together. Could not fault the quality of food, the professionalism of staff or the ambience. Prices very reasonable would highly recommend. Herb coated Mac and Cheese delicious beautiful large pasta nacaroni, sauce, not overpowering, but flavoursome. The set menu for 12.95 was excellent value. Did not mind paying extra for starter prawn cocktail or coffee.

I'm sad to say I will not return. Manager was extremely rude when I returned the veg soup due to it tasting like chicken. I stress I hadn't done so with complaint just didn't want to eat it. The waitress said it'd be no problem and I wouldn't be charged but then the Manager wanted to turn the whole thing into a drama. Visited this place for a private function upstairs. I attended a baby shower for myniece-in-law. It is a nice place and was set up really well. The buffet food provided was really lovely and a complimentary glass of Prosecco. We did not use the restaurant downstairs. We did order drinks from the upstairs bar. I definitely recommend this place for private functions. I can not comment on the actual restaurant as I did not eat here.

Visited for the first time and now ready to become a regular. The food was absolutely outstanding. Both myself and my husband thought it was the best steak pie we have ever had and considering the number we have eaten over the years, that is a big compliment! I’m still waiting for someone to chase us out the door saying there has been a mistake with the bill as we had 2 courses for only £12 (lunch mid week)!!! Haggis Bon Bons, Korean chicken, and two steak pies all massive portions for £24! I can’t buy the amount of food and quality from a supermarket to cook at home for this price so we will be making this a regular mid week stop.
