Food was shocking. Especially the chips. Gone downhill, would not recommend

Nearly always great fish and chips. Not great if not very busy. But more than often lovely, especially the battered cod

Great food and a superb family run business. The best place to eat in mickleover and derby. Two large cod and 1 large haddock and chips. So yummy and the crispy golden batter really is a treat.

Absolutely shocking at the food and also the price. It’s gone completely downhill. Portion sizes have decreased massively and prices have shot up. Will definitely not be going back. Waste of money!

Absolutely disgusted with the portion size of the mixed meat and chips for 9.50! It was that small I could even shut the lid! Not impressed at all. Was such a good place aswell but I definitely won’t be making that mistake again of wasting my money at this over priced place. Voir le carte

Not been here for a good few years but was in the area. Was quiet so had to wait a bit but it was awful just like I remember. Batter was just too thick and insanely greasy and inside the fish had a strange taste. Defo barely won’t be bothering again it’s clearly not improved, for fish and chips at least can’t comment on anything else they do.

Order Uber delivery of haddock and chips x2, several kebabs etc at a cost over £50. Having collected food from shop previously, I recommended it to relatives from overseas. Most of the food ended in the bin. 2 haddocks crammed into one box greasy and soggy batter, fish not particularly fresh and overcooked. Chips were were undercooked, pale, soft and soggy. Meat in kebabs was dry. So very disappointed so no more custom from me or family. Couldn't believe the difference in quality.

What a shame! This place used to be fantastic, with friendly service and great food. Unfortunately, I 'm not sure if they have changed ownership in the last year or so, however I had a very poor experience a couple of nights ago and quite a rude lady behind the counter (Manager/Owner? The large fish, was soaked in oil on the bottom, which all stuck to the greaseproof paper and removed the whole underside of the batter?? The curry sauce was gluepy and had a strange aftertaste? The Saveloy sausage was stone cold too, maybe it had been sitting in cold water?? Not an experience I would like to replicate, which as I said is a shame because it used to be great!!
