Oakham Chinese Takeaway

I have been coming to this restaurant for years and every visit has been a great dining experience. I have never had a bad meal here thanks to their amazing consistency in quality. The BBQ spare ribs are absolutely delicious!

Good well prepared take away with cheerful service. All the usual favourite take away dishes without any many modern and unusual dishes. The portions are usually large so do not over order. The crispy pancake roll is really and one of best. Avoid the combo...special dishes at front end of menu but anything else is very good.

Take away only and you have to pick up Food was ok as we were really hungry we ate it all up but i will try elsewhere before going back as the sauces are on the verge of being gloopy. we had a beef with...mushroom as one of the dishes and if i closed my eyes i would have thought i was eating beef casserole tasty but not quite chinesey Voir le carte

We order takeout from this restaurant at least every two weeks and have been customers since it first opened. The food is excellent. We have tried takeout from other places while on vacation, but nothing compares to the food here. The hot and savory ribs are heavenly! Mrs. Chan is wonderful, and her son, who now takes the orders at the front desk, is very efficient and organized.

this is a take-away only restaurant that I have used for many years and the food standard is consistently high. they had the strange swallow in the distant past, but I haven't experienced anyone for a few years. the sauces are rich. and thick, the flesh / the flesh plentiful, and they will be for allergies where possible. sauces are also delicious without msg to supplement and they are happy to exclude this on request.

Lovely Chinese takeaway here, we were staying near oakham and fancied a bite to eat, rang up and ordered a set meal for 2. Was very surprised that it was ready in 15 minutes and extremely hot, there was loads of food for the 2...of us. Very well good with lovely flavours. The man behind the desk was very pleasant and the meal only cost around 24 or 26 pounds for the 2 of us very reasonable for what was on offer. Shall be visiting again on our next trip to Oakham! I visited this restaurant over the weekend with my parents, and we decided to get Chinese takeout. My parents recommended this place, but after waiting over 45 minutes and spending just over £55 for 7 of us, I have to say that a Chinese takeaway from Tesco would have been a better option. We were all completely disappointed with the food once we got home, especially since there was no delivery service from the restaurant. Overall, it was a waste of money and I would not recommend or return to this place.

Obviously hugely popular with locals. Rang order through was told an hour wait and went to pick up and waited another 30 mins. Wouldn’t mind the wait if when you went to pick up it was actually ready. Granted it was a Saturday night. It...seems this is the usual for them as lots of others who seemed to have been waiting a long time. Food pretty average ordered satay prawn and the dish most definitely not satay but a gloopy thick strange tasting sauce. Couldn’t be bothered to take back given how long wait was. So much advice, order way in advance and expect a wait when you go to collect tho on a week night may be quieter.

We have now been to the Oakham Chinese on Mill Street Oakham for the second time (04/08/18) while stopping in the Oakham area. Once again we had a wonderful meal, everything was cooked well and very tasty, the chicken tasted and felt like chicken. Whereas...some restaurants give you, what’s classed as a poor excuse for chicken. The starter was superb, Curry Samosa’s, my wife had a Chicken Curry and I had Szechuan Chicken not sure of the spelling). The rice comes in Small, Regular and Large. The large rice is more than enough for two. I would recommend that if you want to order your take away, you ring up first rather than just turn up, as on busy nights you could have a long wait for your or... Voir le carte
