"I visited this restaurant as it had been highly recommended by friends who live in the area it is situated in a beautiful green spot infront of the irpinia countryside in the summer you can sit outside and eat on a beautiful terrace.. in the winter indoors is nice not flash or exaggeratedly country style, just clean, spacious and welcoming the waiters were very attentive and considering that we had not been there before, treated us like old clients there were three of us and all adults but we wanted to taste everything so decided to start with the house antipasto and we split it x i was more than enough and comprised a full plate of tomatoe bruschetta with local olive oil that was bought to the table and stayed for the whole meal there was a plate of cold cuts, salame, parma ham, pork cold cuts, ricotta, cheese, carpaccio of roast beef, mozzarella, grilled marinated vegetables, baked smoked mozzarella with porcini mushrooms, a bowl of chestnut, truffle, bean and porcini mushroom soup, broccoli and mashed potatoes, fried polenta sticks, all washed down with a great bottle of their house red. This was an antipasto for one person we ate it in for two people it is more than enough My husband ordered ricotta stuffed ravioli with grated black truffle sauce and it was covered with truffle delicious, my daughter and i ate sides made up of broccoli, escarole and green vegetables we had chilli olive oil and parmesan cheese was left at our table too. WE THEN WENT FOR THE STAR OF THE SHOW kilo of local mountain reared beef steak cooked rare and served on a red hot plack of black marble to finish the cooking process at the table it was smothered in wild rocked and porcini mushrooms and we were bought pink salt, black pepper and dressed the meat as we ate it with olive oil. We had a great side salad for one which again we ate in then we were offered deserts which where fantastic, liquors and coffees on the house. We opted for a savoury option of cheese see below. We paid a bill of just euros that is around euros each which is a great deal considering the cost of the wine we had one and a half bottles water and the porcini mushrooms and the truffles where so abundant, and the service was excellent usually this kind of meal would have costg around euros for we will return to eat pizza as the other guests started with a pizza and finished with the infamous kilo steaks the table next to us had two massive Tbone steaks and various other dishes this reatuarant specializes in just hand made pasta, great meats including local game- home grown vegetables and local cheese we TRIED AS A GRANDE FINALE local goats cheese and a speciality of my area, a local cows milk cheese called caccio cavallo which was presented with chestnut honey and pumpkin, onion and rosemary relish we just cannot thank the waiters and the chef enough as we really had a great meal and a great evening out. Not just pizza, you'll find many dishes to choose from at this not so out of the way place. The brothers three and their family will welcome you like your family, very warm and friendly. The atmosphere is family, couples or a group of friends,...all are welcome!

absolutely fabulous we had an antipasti to begin, all the items were fresh. pasta dish contains ravioli with ricotta cheese and truffle. again all made fresh and great tasting. the mixed grill was wonderful and the children thought the pizzas were the best they in. italia they give it off, they will not be disappointed.

Ero con la famiglia a pranzo. Non sapevo che questo ristorante consigliato dagli amici e si è rivelato essere una buona scelta. abbiamo preso antipasto misto, taglaitelle ai funghi porcini, gnocchi in tegamino, bistecca di vitelli, arrosto di agnello, bistecca su pietra lavica, contorni e tutto accompagnato da un eccellente chianti, dolce e amaro della casa. piatti buoni e abbondanti. buon rapporto qualità-prezzo. E' stata una bella giornata di famiglia. Certo che torneremo.

We stayed here overnight in the accomodation that was absolutely class, friends joined us for dinner and we asked the Maitre-Dei to just spoil us hours and bottles of wine later we finally said Enough' having been served a variety of...appetisers then mains of chickens, steaks, lamb etc etc we retired to our room for a wonderful nights sleep . Breakfast was a variety of continental all fresh and tasty. Overall a fabulous night, not the cheapest around but worth the expense especially if you are celebrating s special occasion. Would we stay there or just eat there again ? MOST DEFINITLY.....

"Ci ritorno dopo un anno a causa delle restrizioni territoriali, e venendo da napoli non sono della zona San Michele di Serino, ma lo consiglio vivamente per chi risiede nei dintorni, è facilmente raggiungibile da napoli tramite autostrada uscita Avellino ovest direzione Serino, circa un ora come distanza in auto. Ottima ristorazione, materie prime di qualità, chef molto professionale, piatti cucina tipica irpina, con buoni abbinamenti. Per addolcire attesa offrono ricotta e polpettine fritte. Per antipasto consiglio tagliere misto con formaggi stagionati molto buoni e affettati. Per primi consiglio ravioli sia al ragù antico sia con gorgonzola, miele di castagno e mandorle. Per porzioni abbondanti consiglio fettuccine al lardo e noci o candele al ragù antico, o paccheri alla genovese. Per mio figlio celiaco ho ordinato fusilli senza glutine con lardo e noci. Come carne alla brace vari tagli, ottima Fiorentina e scottona, carni molto tenere e gustose. Per contorni consiglio patate alla cenere e peperoni al miele. Ottima carta vini, su consiglio titolare Giovanni molto disponibile e cordiale, ho bevuto un aglianico Stefania Barbot ION Campi taurasini DOC 2017 Irpinia, molto strutturato e corposo, ideale per abbinamenti formaggi e carne alla brace. Dolci molto buoni, cheesecake ai frutti di bosco e alla fragola, tiramisù, coppe di fragole. Il menù include anche altre pietanze, sempre bello ritornare a questo ristorante, prezzi nella media, qualità elevata e garanzia di buona cucina. Servizio ai tavoli nella media, personale cordiale e veloce. Consiglio di prenotare in anticipo. Esperienza garantita per gli amanti della buona cucina tipica irpina. Primi piatti a base di pasta fresca, ravioli di ottima preparazione, disponibili varie salse, con il miele e formaggi sono ottimi. Location struttura rustica in centro cittadino ma abbastanza tranquillo, ideale anche per famiglie, ampia sala esterna fresca e arieggiata con giusto venticello, alcuni tavoli erano soleggiati a causa anche affluenza per festa della mamma, ma basta chiederlo in prenotazione per chi vuole tavolo esterno ad ombra. Nel complesso ottima esperienza, un plauso ai titolari per avere mantenuto alti gli standard qualitativi."
