Nick's Southern Fried Chicken & Ribs

Went there once, and I was not impressed with the food or service, and never went back. The chicken was very dry.

If you like chicken, this is your place to go. The staff could be a little bit nicer, but therefore the food is great.

This is one of my family's favorite spots. I usually get the hot wings but on yesterday I tried the spicy chicken sandwich and was once again very pleased. The coleslaw is to die for.

I think they cut the ribs before they cook them; they're not that good at all. The fried chicken is pretty decent; good flavor, cooked well, and made fast. I'll go back for the chicken but will skip the ribs when i go back.

Hier gibt es die leckersten und frischesten Hühnchenteile mit sehr leckerer Panade. Die Stücke sind so frisch, das man aufpaassen muss, sich nicht den Mund zu verbrennen. Nick's, to me, is better than KFC and definitely better than the Popeye's on Ramstein. The chicken always tastes fresh and has never left me disappointed. The restaurant is a little small, but taking it on the go is no issue. If you're in the...Einsiedlerhof area, check out Nick's for quality fried chicken at a low price.

Ich fühle mich als nahezu "ältester" Gast. Ich komme seit den 90er Jahren zu Nick`s und finde es schön, dass sich nichts verändert hat. Die Hähnchenfiletteile sind für mich die besten auf dem Globus. Der Kartoffelbrei und die braune Sauce sind ein Original. Der mit Butter bestrichene Maiskolben geht irgendwie immer. Den Krautsalat und sein Dressing sind sensationell. Den Vergleich mit KFC finde ich unangebracht, schließlich gibt´s bei Nick`s schon immer das beste Hähnchen.

If Nick's was in Atlanta it wouldn't get four stars, but it's the best American-style fried chicken I've had in Germany, so I'm ranking it based on that not on some farcical comparison to some the places I've gotten the good stuff closer to the...American South (see, for example Hominy Grill, Fred Chason's, Thelma's, etc etc etc). Service was friendly enough for me, again the fair comparison is to other imbiss places in Germany, none of which tend to even be in the same sport as a restaurant with true southern hospitality, let alone in the same league.
