"I'd heard a lot about the popularity of Doner sandwiches in Germany, and Doner Time had been recommended as the best restaurant for doner in the area. It didn't disappoint! I ordered the doner wrap (less bread, more fillings!) and I'm so glad I did - I could only finish half of it. Everyone else in our party was able to eat their whole sandwich though! Doner is somewhat similar to the more well-known gyro. A marinated meat is cooked on a rotating spit, then thinly sliced and placed on a flatbread of some sort, with a variety of vegetables, cheeses and sauces as additional toppings.Everything was made to order, so each topping was added at my direction. The customer in front of me ordered the special spicy sauce for his, so I thought I'd give it a try; it was very good. It added a tang and a little heat, but it wasn't overpowering. The customer behind me made much of the fact that this was my first visit to Doner Time and raved not only about it being the best Doner restaurant around, but also about how the special sauce was the key. Listening to a few other customers, I think they all felt the same; this is THE place to get the best doner sandwiches."

"It's my fourth time at this restaurant and it hasn't disappointed yet. The majority of complaints I've seen are one, parking, the nearest garage is 0.5km (seriously walk a little). The second is the portions are too small. Okay this is where I get annoyed, these are people that rate McDonalds 5 stars. It's Indian food, you should order a few starters to accent the main course. Here is a tip; get your choice of naan bread, we like garlic. Also, samosas are delicious and a fried chickpea battered choice is good. Now, order your main course and dip some naan in that delectably spicy curry sauce your lamb vindaloo is soaking in. If the portions are too small, order desert."

"First I must praise this establishment for it's diverse, delicious, house-made, and made-from-scratch menu. On weekdays they have a sampler lunch special which is set daily that rotates through their menu for 12€, that always includes assortments of lamb (1), chicken (2), vegetable (3), dessert, naan (Indian bread), chutney, yogurt, tamarind sauce, etc (they have an alternate vegetarian version).I hadn't had authentic house-made chai like this place has since I was in Afghanistan.The first time I went here was with a colleague on a weekend when they have the weekend buffet. I'm skeptical of buffets but I was thoroughly impressed that quality was not sacrificed for the increased quantity... and let me emphasize again that the yogurt, bread, chutneys, chai, etc are house-made.The proprietor is super friendly and eager to accommodate.Also, I was here on 27APR17 for lunch and saw Morena Baccarin's doppelgänger eating with a friend. I remember Saarschmecker's contribution to the Cardinal of 2015. “Food” has me reading this review that I have never noticed this Ristorante. Finally, I almost went to the slaughtered vocational school (as many) years ago. Central, but hidden near the Palatinate Theatre. Our car was free from 19.00 a.m., so we tried our luck in the “cardinal” without reservation. Unfortunately we could not sit in the green courtyard anymore, the summer is over. The question of whether everything is correct is not lacking in the small salad or in the pasta. Despite a fully equipped restaurant, the acoustics were pleasant and not too loud. "There are a lot of options on an entirely separate vegan menu. They have vegan sushi as well, which is nice. They have some sort of fake meat for a few of the dishes, which I had in the vegan pho. I do not recommend the fake meat, which I believe is made of seitan, but otherwise I have enjoyed their food. It is cash only and their terrace is unshaded."

"We went here for our Anniversary yesterday, yes I know, we keep it really fancy. We do however miss the typical American burger and fries, so we were excited to try this place out. We parked by the mall and took about a 2 minute easy walk to the restaurant. It was a very nice laid back atmosphere, which really fits with our personalities. The menus were incredibly simple, which made choosing what to get a breeze. I had the bacon and & egg burger and my husband chose the champ. Both burgers were absolutely delicious! The menu is only in German, but all the words on it are simple words that I already knew, but if you know absolutely no German then you can get by with using Google Translate, that is what my husband starting doing before he ended up just asking me. Since it's so small, it's easy to translate. They had localish sodas and beers which was pretty cool! I asked to have my burger closer to well done, since it said on the menu they cook them between medium-medium rare. They were on par with cooking it to my liking, it was perfect! I also asked for my egg to be cooked hard, and they did that as well. My only complaint was the fries were a little too well done, but I believe that is how they serve them and my husband really liked them. I also loved that they gave him extra ketchup without charging. It's the small things that make you happiest. It felt like a burger joint from back home and it was perfect to curb the cravings!"

"One specialty is a savory sort of pancake that comes from the region of Japan the proprietors are from. These people stay true to their craft and art in creating the balanced presentation of their foods with the best ingredients. If you like the sushi...buffets this is not the place for you. Proportions and preparations are done to perfection and the dining atmosphere is that of a small place that is warm an inviting. A friend that lived in Okinawa tells me it's one of the few places he's been to outside Japan that is a place Japanese people might go to. This place is probably my overall favorite in Kaiserslautern, and that means a lot coming from a guy that loves all the local European food."

"Das Lokal liegt zwar nicht an einer Hauptstraße - ist aber gut zu finden/erreichen. Die Räumlichkeiten sind hell (große Fensterfront) und gemütlich. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich; der Service gut und wir mussten nicht lange auf unser Essen warten.Die Speisekarte ist übersichtlich, da nicht groß, aber wir sind hin um Steak zu essen und dafür war die Auswahl gut. Die Steaks waren genauso zubereitet wie wir es mögen/bestellt haben (medium rare); man muss keine Pommes essen - es geht auch Steak mit einem schönen Salat. Freue mich schon auf den nächsten Besuch, wenn ich dann eines der Sandwiches oder eine der Platten probieren werde."

"We were lucky enough to be there for Valentine night celebrating our wedding anniversary. The food was amazing. Special course menu for the evening was offered. Choices were a pork medallion plate, a steak plate or a fish plate. Starter were all the...same for each menu, dessert was different for each. We had the pork and the steak dinners. The pork came with an orgasmic chocolate cake and steak had a lovely raspberry panna cotta. We will go back to try their regular menu."

"Went just quickly with a friend after a rainy shopping evening to grab a bite ... boy, did I learn fast! Athos staff is switched on and instantly responsive to the individual needs of their clientele. The menue is selective in any of the departments, be...it seafood or meat or entrees, salads... Prices are unbelievably low, if you come from Hamburg Dusseldorf Munich . Every dish is painstakingly prepared and decorated delicately. We choose from a wide varienty of starters... all of which were delightful. Typical Greek bbq grilled meats to follow, wow. I loved the lamb! ... and yes, a decent crispy cold Pils accompanying... After the Ouzo and coffee, the bill was surprisingly harmless. The young owners and stafff: Keep up the good work! To the guest: Place a reservation... for all good reasons it 's very well frequented... ... and surely my favorite Greek experience way beyond Kaiserslautern!"

"I was very disappointed that the server had no idea which foods contain gluten, and, even worse, neither did the cooks. The menu, however, had indications for various allergens. There was one that said "cereals containing gluten". I used that to the best of my ability to choose a meal. I ordered the minestrone soup and a plain pork cutlet. There was no breading and no sauce on the pork. Despite being so careful, I definitely had a bad gluten reaction. I really couldn't say what caused it, but my guess is the minestrone. I asked beforehand if there was any pasta in the soup, and they said no. I did not see any croutons in my soup. Maybe the soup base had some kind of gluten containing ingredient. Nevertheless, beware of their ratings and treat them only as guidance."

"Attention aux Américains! Vous n'êtes pas invité ici si vous avez un grand groupe. Il y avait trois de ces tables disponibles pour des sièges au moment de notre demande. Ces tables n'ont pas eu de signe "réservé" n'importe où près de cette table. Notre groupe de beaucoup n'a pas été offert à des sièges plus tard ... juste un épaudre froid d'une épaule discriminatoire. Nous ne ferons jamais fréquenter ce restaurant."

"It's not a place to go on a date, or have a dinner party... walls look a bit ran down, paintings on the walls seem to be bought at flea Market. Different taste of decor maybe. Service was excellent, restaurant is ran by a family (I assume), however there's no dress code for the staff, which makes a poor impression (Service staff wearing jogging pants and hoodies). Not that it matters... ? The food has changed dramatically. 1st time years ago was more authentic. Today the food (every dish ordered) was super salty. Maybe it was an accident... Maybe new cook."

"the voucher led us to this restaurant. it is located in the immediate vicinity of the shopping house "k in Lautre".We were the only guests on a Sunday afternoon / early evening. We were served immediately. the candle at the table was lit and the menu was brought. on the table were elaborately folded serviettes covered.We ordered icetea - that was a tasty typical thai icetea, however with quite many ice cubes. as main dishes there were pad thai and a chicken curry.On the menu there was always the sharpness. To the curry I was asked separately when ordering whether I can eat sharply. the food came up timely and was served appealingly. on a push and with beautiful cutlery. at pad thai additionally with chopsticks.Shouldingly the curry was good. I would have liked to have a little bit more colourful. it was a lot of bambus, only isolated paprika strips. On the table a spicy was taken. with 4 different. one of them with the hint that this is a sharp one. When we asked about the bill, the voucher was already directly charged. The process was therefore running without problems. Conclusion: you can eat well undisturbed in rest, is served friendly. the ambiente is a little old-fashioned - but clean and loving.The foods could get a little more ground for price/performance."
