Mister Lasagna Victoria

I tried this restaurant expecting some good Indian cuisine. But experience was behind expectation. The service also has scope to be better.

This is the worst Indian meal I have ever been served. The food was salty, bland, watery, and unidentifiable. The staff was ignorant and the restaurant was grubby.

It was a late after theater evening, pouring rain and yet, we found this sweet little restaurant near the Royal National Theater. The food was good, inexpensive and a find at that hour of the night. I'd definitely go back. Voir le carte

We found ourselves looking for a meal at 10:45pm near Victoria Station. It's not in the least glamorous but we enjoyed it the food was fresh, the staff were eager to please and it was well priced. We could have done a lot worse.

A small restaurant but the food was lovely and the service was as you might expect, efficient but without any great frills. Poppadoms came with three dips, drinks were served promptly. The rogan josh was just the right balance of spices, as was the chicken jalfrezi. The prawn curry looked good but a bit thin. Additional rice was no problem and came quickly.

They offered some regional dishes that we had not seen elsewhere which were very good. Our expectations were low because it was listed as a take-out but it was raining and we didn't want to travel about looking for another place. It was a birthday dinner for the old man (father/grandfather) in our group. We were very pleasantly surprised. We arrived there for lunch and only one table was occupied. We ordered and the food was okay, but not great. We ordered the usual papadum, various curries, rice, naan, and wine. The ambiance in the restaurant was just okay as well. The prices were average. Conclusion: If you're hungry near Victoria Station, it's probably better to eat here than at the station itself. However, the restaurant is not worth going out of your way for.

If you aren 't fussy re quality but want a quick meal prior to the show across the road, then I wouldn 't recommend this place. Food was bland and very oily. Service was good and the staff attentive. The place is so small the waiter constantly brush against your chairs to get past. We had a couple of poppadums each no massala available, a pulao rice, a main chicken curry and two veg. with a beer and water it came to over 28 pounds. Far too expensive! The receipt says 'finest indian cuisine ' As they say don 't believe everything you read.

The restaurant is good if you are in a hurry after a show (the restaurant's biggest benefit). However, our experience was not pleasant. The samosas we ordered as appetizers were frozen inside and when we complained, the server asked if they were frozen to begin with, which was not a good sign. The prices were reasonable, which is the only reason for our 2 out of 5 rating. The rest of the food was terrible. At one point, a server took one of our small sauce plates and placed it on another table, which was disgusting. As we were finishing up and having a conversation, the server came and told us it was time to leave and essentially kicked us out. If you can go somewhere else, do it. You'll be... Voir le carte
