I had a terrific taste of proper Indian Street food from the Dabbawala Junction stall out front of the Mendi restaurant. WR9 7PA . The food was fresh and tasty made by some real enthusiasts. It makes a real change for fast food. I urge you to give it a go.

Myself and my wife who is of Punjabi background, booked a table on recommendation. Fantastic food, probably the most authentic Punjabi food we have ever had. You don’t have to be vegetarian to enjoy the quality on offer. Thoroughly recommend and will visit again soon. Chris Pinder Voir le carte

Great food in an authentic Indian setting. Unbelievable service from two lovely ladies who couldn't do enough for you and made you feel very special. A group of us shared starters, mains and sides and everyone loved it. Will definitely return and suggest everyone checks this place out.

Lovely little restaurant close to the motorway, ran by the nicest Punjabi ladies who really look after every customer! Small restaurant with a great vibe, so booking in advance is advised as it was their old house converted into a restaurant. Tasty, real vegetarian Indian food, as opposed to a typical curry house. Will be back for sure!

This is an excellent vegetarian Indian restaurant. We had a very good meal to celebrate my husband's birthday. There is a welcoming friendly atmosphere and service together with a good choice of very enjoyable meals. You can choose the level of heat that you want from the dish and although the restaurant isn't licensed you are welcome to bring your own alcohol. Voir le carte

Stayed at the Holiday Inn Express and the receptionist recommended the restaurant across the way. Meat and alcohol free suited me as I was on a business trip with an early start but what a meal. I have eaten such meals in India but never had better than this. The food, the flavours, the service were excellent and I cannot recommend Mendi highly enough. Don’t think that this is a compromise, it is nothing of the sort- you will not be disappointed.

I stopped by the Post Office next door while looking for lunch options for a training session in Droitwich. I noticed the nearly empty hot cabinet in the corner and asked the person behind the counter if they had any more takeaway items. The gentleman called his mother, who agreed to make fresh bhajis and samosas for me to pick up in 2 hours. The food was fantastic and I highly recommend trying it. I will definitely be returning and look forward to trying more dishes when the restaurant reopens. - Tim Scarlett.

Wow. What can I say. Both my wife and I love a meat curry but discovered Mendi when we stayed at the holiday inn next door. Without any shadow of doubt the food is remarkable. So tasty it did not even need meat. The service was wonderful and the atmosphere lovely. We now realise that you do not need meat to enjoy a truly superb Indian meal. The samosa was delicious, the jalfrazi delicious and the naan wonderful. My wife had the superb spring roll and mushroom dish and loved every bit. When we are next in the area we will return.
