The best chip shop for miles! Eat in their small seating area or take away, you can't beat the quality. Friendly staff and top notch food, one of our favourite places to eat.

This restaurant is absolutely amazing and serves the best fish and chips. We drive 45 minutes to have lunch here on a Tuesday. The battered chips are delicious and the staff is great!

This restaurant is perfect for getting takeaway fish and chips on a Friday night. The staff is friendly and provides good service. I will definitely be going back to try their battered chips on Tuesday.

Hands down the best chippy in the peak district and up there with the best fish and chips we've had. Crispy batter lovely fish and great chips. Mushy peas and curry sauce where lovely. We ate in the restaurant all cooked to order and the staff were super friendly reasonably priced compared to most places nowadays..

This was my first time visiting this restaurant since being diagnosed with coeliac disease 7 years ago. The menu was clearly labeled, the staff communicated well, and the freshly cooked fish and chips were delicious. I will definitely be coming back. The lad was a bit hasty with the order, but it was confusing with the weird vibes he was getting from our indecisive group. Cooked a fresh haddock for me perfectly, crispy batter, and flaky pieces of haddock in side. Chips could have been a bit fresher, but we were there towards the end of the night, so what would you expect. Good fish n chips from a great chippy

Really is as other reviews state, spot on!!! I travelled here as we like to go out for a drive and take lunch in various places. The reviews are good so worth the gamble. Whilst eating my fish and chips (and they were the best I’ve ever had) I was listening to what others said about their food but also how the proprietors served take away customers as well. It’s unique, they actually care about giving you exactly what you want. Keep it up, service this good is rare.

We first came here many years ago when my daughter was tiny, and were very pleased to see the Market Place Fish and Chip shop in Ashbourne is still open. We always like to have a 'blowout ' on our last night of our holiday and the awesome folk here didn 't disappoint. We had large cod and chips and some halloumi, the portions were generous and the price wasn 't too steep either. Food is ready quickly (they have a neat ordering system so you don 't have to cram into the tiny shop and get in everyone 's way). Loads of options on the menu.
