Louis Cafe - Menu

Das macht Spaß. Mitten in der Stadt ein wirklich gutes, schönes und aufgeräumtes Café zu finden, die wissen wie man einen Espresso zubereitet. Und dann auch noch super nett! Top!

Wir gehen immer wieder gerne zum Essen, aber auch Freunde treffen uns Louis. Wechselnde Tageskarte. Mittagsgerichte sind zu empfehlen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und auch zu Scherzen aufgelegt.

We ate here twice for lunch and had really excellent food and a very reasonable cost, Lovely friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere . Went for a drink at night and it was buzzing -obviously very popular.

Wir waren gestern mit unseren Freunden zum ersten Mal mittags im Louisund waren begeistert.Sehr freundlicher Service - Gruß nach Eger,sehr guter Wein - weiß und rot,Klasse Pasta, die besten Cevapcici, die es wohl in Bayreuth gibt.Wir kommen bestimmt wieder

Zufällig reingestolpert und begeistert! Ich war auf der Suche nach einem Abendessen und fang eine wirklich süße Location mit aufmerksamer Bedienung und schmackhaftem Essen (Tagliatelle mit Kalbsleber in Tomatensauce). Das Café Louis hat mich sicher nicht zum letzten Mal gesehen.

Geschmacklich war das von mir bestellte Mittagsgericht o.k. Jedoch: Die Kalbsleber war zu Tode gegrillt, sprich: pfurztrocken. Der dazu gelieferte gemischte Salat war o.k., schien mir aber mit einer fertigen Salatsoße angemacht zu sein. Außerdem enthielt er Eisbergsalat – nicht gerade ein Kennzeichen für kulinarische Qualität.

We stopped off here for a light dinner after a long walk around historical Bayreuth. The table was ideally situated to "watch the world go by" while we ate and drank.The menu was very extensive with lots of different pasta, pizza, meat and fish choices. I chose the grilled chicken and salad option which was perfect. The staff were very friendly too and it was nice to practise my very sketchy German and having a laugh at the same time. Definitely a place to try if you're in the area.

Three of us came here for lunch after a visit to the Neues Schloß nearby and we were so impressed with the food and ambience that we asked for a dinner reservation that evening after the opera. Again, enjoyable food, but on coming to pay, we were told no cards which was odd, because we had paid by card for lunch. We left slightly cross at this rather underhand practice, and it lowers our estimation of what is an otherwise fine cafe. Please sort this, Louis Cafe; we were not impressed.

Louis Café/bar/restaurant is situated in Ludwigsstrasse near Sternplatz. You can walk here from Bayreuth market square, or from Haus Wahnfried. The castle with so-called Hofgarten is not far away. Today the sky was clouded, the weather was rainy, so I went inside. Otherwise I could have sat down at a table in front of the cafe, in the pedestrian zone. The service was very quick. The portion of pasta might have been a bit bigger, but on the whole it tasted perfectly right. The prices were reasonable. I will probably return to this place sooner or later.
