Lily's Vegetarian Indian

By far the best Indian food (we had vegan options) so fresh and tasty. Staff are incredibly attentive and very friendly, we've been many times and shall many more times. It's the Sachin Tendulkar of Indian restaurants.

Amazing always. Food is so tasty and varied and you can take home anything you don't eat. Highly recommended for families and couples alike. Great service and lovely toilets (always a sign of a great restaurant! . Lovely shop to take things away too.

I generally don’t write reviews but now it’s been 2-3 times that we found Lily’s deserts are way too sub standard and stale. We have had a conversation with the people running the shop in the past but unfortunately nothing improved. We may not be back again.

Great food. This was our first visit, one veggie and three non-veggies. We all loved it. A superb range of food to choose from and everything we had was lovely; Gobi Manchurian, Paneer Makhani, Palak Paneer and the 'Signature Sizzler ' were all very well received. Prompt, friendly service.

I have been to Lilys several times over last 6-7 yrs. Until today I have thoroughly enjoyed the food. Their food always had authentic Indian flavours and was a delight. However today was an absolute disappointment. We ordered paneer butter masala and veg kolhapuri along with biriyani and couple of starters. Starters were decent enough. However the paneer was not anywhere near a butter masala. It was just some paneer slices in a thin tomato gravy that was sour. Veg kolhapuri was a disgrace. All it had was plenty of cabbage and onions, again in some tomato sauce that had no flavour. In short, the food was worse than a corner takeaway. Extremely disappointed.

We have always loved lillys and have been many times, so we decided to go for dinner to celebrate some work achievements, however we were really disappointed, we booked a table ahead of the evening, our poppadoms arrived no problem at all then there was an hour and half wait for our main courses with no explanation from staff, I asked one staff member and she said it was due to take away orders, I then asked a second member of staff who stated they had forgot our order, when our main courses did arrived they looked thrown together, and they where very small portions compared when we had been before, the staff where apologetic about our wait and discounted our food, I was disappointed in the...

Everything was amazing the food, service, value for money and the restaurant. Everyone who served us was incredibly helpful and friendly. They have an exceptional menu. They guided us through it with ease and patience. They encouraged us to order starters and then later order meals after we were eating our starters. It was a great idea. We had more time to enjoy our starters and process what we wanted next. Each dish was phenomenal. The variety of textures and flavors was exceptional. My favourite was the filled dosa and the Chaat sweet and sour. My partners was the 'butter paneer masala ' (vegan). I rarely return to a place, but this place is the exception to my rule. My wife and I have always loved Lily 's, unfortunately we have seen another side to this place recently. On Saturday, September 23rd, we were in the Alexander next door to the restaurant. Knowing they close at 10pm, we attempted to get in at bang on 9pm but were told no-one was allowed in after 9, it was 9pm, but we weren 't going to argue the point so we went elsewhere. Booked a table of two on a Friday evening. I’d been wanting to visit for months but the travel and parking always put me off. The parking is mainly road and can be quite difficult but we managed. There is a lovely little shop selling basic Indian stables such as lentils and chi peas, all dried spices and herbs too which I loved! The restaurant has a full bar and served wine and other spirits and beer. The service was very attentive and helpful.
