"We would not have found this place if not for seeing it on trip advisor. The entrance is down an side road and not that obvious. The restaurant is down some steps in the basement of a large building. It feels like your sitting in...some medieval castle with huge stone pillars and old wooden beams. The restaurant was busy, but the majority of the patrons were locals. The staff were friendly but didn't speak much English but we managed with the help of one English menu. Three of us had scallops with chorizo to start and one had a local cold meat selection, all very tasty. For mains one of had duck another had a meat stew of some kind and two of us had THE burger. the burger was the best burger both of us have ever had!!! It came with sweet potato fries which themselves were heavenly. The burger was in an onion bread roll with crispy bacon, cheese and barbecue sauce. It was like no burger I've had before. Once you buy into the meat has a pink colour but not because it was undercooked. I can only assume it's something to do with the way they prepare the burger. The whole thing melted in your mouth and the flavoured all worked so well. We both agreed it was well worth the €20.80 it costs. I'm pretty sure the other guys enjoyed their mains but I was too busy enjoying my burger to notice really. For desert I had the chocolate mousse which again was very tasty. You could taste the bitter chocolate and it was lovely and smooth. All in all a cracking restaurant GO FOR THE BURGER!!!"
