"Much as I like to encourage education, after last night's dinner at Le Berceau des Sens, I would only recommend it if your child was a student there. First, once we got to the EHL building, there was very little signage for the restaurant was very difficult to find until someone took pity on us and guided us there. (Hint: it's on the 3rd floor, good luck finding the right elevator. Once there, it was hugely disappointing, especially given the Michelin and Gault Millau accolades. Nice and eager to do the correct thing as the students were, the service was just terrible, and the apprentice staff were clearly very poorly managed. Once seated, it took at least 20 minutes to get a menu; the sommelière-in-training kept forgetting which wine we ordered. Our entrees arrived nearly an hour after we sat down. On finding that a server had given us the wrong tableware for the dishes, they whisked it away and we could see several conferring for 10 minutes to figure out which we were to have. After the entree, the main dishes took another 45 minutes, despite our asking several students and finally the man who seemed to be the manager what the problem was. No one spontaneously checked in with us about the long delays. There was a constant crowd of servers walking to and fro, but with little productivity to show for it. The food, once it came, was visually appealing, but the flavor mediocre. (I've never seen dry foie gras before, I don't even know how that's possible. It really seemed as though no one had bothered with practice sessions for these young people before throwing them into the dining room. It looked as though they were learning on the spot. Not only did we end up feeling we were the lab rats, but had to pay a lot for the experience. I'm really sorry to dump in the students, I think the blame goes to the teachers/managers. It was quite a waste of time and money."

The BdS is always magnificent, but Chef Lucrèche, a newcomer for 4 months, brings a fine, innovative, fresh, tasty, original touch. The rest and the EHL school remains a bath of happiness from A to Z. In short, we want more :

We went with no expectation to the restaurant of the Ecole hôtelière but it was an amazing surprise: great food, great service. We could talk to the students and we even visited the kitchen! It is really a place to go either with your family or business partners but be warned that you have to make a reservation.

We had a lunch on Monday which is the first day for most students working in the restaurant. It was a great pleasure to watch stressed students making mistakes. I believe it is a part of the experience. The food is expected for a Michelin 1 start restaurant. I highly recommend Voile d'encornet. Actually I don‘t remember many details after 4 glasses of wind. The restaurant has got the Michelin star lately The uniqueness of that pace is that you are getting to the university of hospitality, the best in Swiss Are you are served by the bright and talented students of the best in the world university The...process is controlled by the experienced experts But the young guys knows what they are doing On top, everything is really very tasty, perfectly decorated and well thought over Also try desserts: those are really perfect I would strongly recommend this unique combination of atmosphere, quality and style

Went there a couple of times earlier this year and it is always interesting to observe the international students learning directly in front of the guests. Of course there are a few small mistakes here and there but its part od the experience and id rather have them than not! Food is great quality and the flavors are plentiful as well. Besides that, I definitely think management could work on the warmth and welcoming of the guests.. i understand they need a straight face to teach the students but as paying customers it is necessary to at least be nice with clients.

In two months we went three times. Food is great, good quality/price ratio. The students who serve you are attentive and try their best. Interesting to observe the learning process.However, all three times we had been disappointed by the manager welcoming guests. He was rude to us and made us feel unwelcome and unwanted. He raised his voice and did not seem to represent the school standards as 1st in Hospitality. Difficult to understand such disrespect. Moreover, the person would lower his voice when other guests pass by to not attract attention.Recommend for the experience and meal, but careful with the host, he may bark. Voir le carte

We decided to come again for a fine dining experience and special serving atmosphere.Like the 2 first times, it was splendid! Our staff ( Margaux and Louana ) was just great. It was their 3rd night serving only. It was natural, easy, professional and personal. Well done ladies !The berceau de sens menu was once again a killer. Everything is fine, refined with exquisite taste and great visual.If you are going for wine, go for a bottle, I was not wowed by the choices of red by the glass. We had been to Berceau des Sense on three previous occasions, but all before they secured one star in the Michelin guide. We returned in Nov. 2021 for a wedding anniversary dinner and this time opted to eat à la carte. The prices have risen quite steeply since the award of the star,but that's to be expected. Our starters grilled octopus, frog legs, sashimi de St. Jacques were good to very good, with the frog legs standing out. My daughter's mallard duck dish was good, but my turbot main course was somewhat under seasoned. The fish was cooked precisely, but the truffle crust and sauce were a little bland.. we had a bottle of Chateau l'Evangile 2015 that was truly sublime and worth every centi...

"Il y a autant de variétés de pizza et de type locaux qu'il y a diversités culturelles en Italie.Ici elles sont fines, moyennes, au fond biscuité, probablement du type des Pouilles, je ne suis pas expert, demandez au patron. La pizza que j'ai mangé était bonne, le salami dessus délicieux. Personnellement je préfère les pizza très fine non huilée ou plus épaisse avec...., mais ça c'est qu'une question de goût.... ma che c.. vuoi?!!L'entrée au Gambas et avocat citron (ou lime?), coriandre.... est vraiment magnifique (attention toutefois à votre porte-monnaie!) et le tiramisu également.C'est une pizzeria du quartier, qui a gardé l'authenticité des pizzerie d'Italie très présentes dans les années 80 à Lausanne, ceci malgré la crise et aujourd'hui la concurrence d'une surpopulation de nouveaux restaurants qui se greffent à 10 mètres de vous et ne durent pas longtemps, juste l'histoire de bousculer ceux qui sont déjà en place,sans que la police du commerce ne daigne intervenir! La multiplicité entraîne la baisse de qualité!Revenons au CharbonEn résumé, la cuisine est bonne voir excellente, le personnel est très sympathique, le service rapide et très bien coordonné, le patron a de l'humour. Des restaurants authentique et vintage de ce style sont de plus en plus rares. Ah j'oubliais! La terrasse, au soleil jusqu'à 6h30 depuis début avril pour le café et le soir quand la circulation diminue est un vrai régal avec vue sur la quartier."
