I just drove by the car to eat something for dinner. eating was very good and the service was quite fast. not so many people and the price are affordable. 26 euro for a T-Bone-Steak with supplement and a beer. in another room there was also a jazz concert, so the atmosphere was quite nice.

great food and friendly service. the personal speaks enough English so that we felt comfortable asking to put food. we sat without reservation at our first visit and in the second night in the bar, as the place was full of Christmas celebrations. will eat here every time we travel to hamburg. we started in the biergarten at the largest in hamburg. the tables and stools have not been cleaned for years, everything was sticky and dirty. we moved into the restaurant area and it was also disappointing. we paid €16.90 for 1 king prawn, a small...square of kabeljau a red pepper’n’courgette kebab. too expensive and not very tasty. toilets also needed attention!

we had chosen this place for a class meeting and managed to get a table outside in the shadow, because the sun seemed and it was very mild. we started the late afternoon and the hard core ended shortly after midnight. the place cried, and they had a high time. the staff that served us was very friendly and apart from the odd mix in drinks there was no complaining. the majority of us had austerity, which was quite acceptable and a good part. we were there the third time in the last 10 years and can just do it again in another 3.

in large and whole, this place was for us only average German eating. menu is not big. the prices are not really too high. location is in the big city park. the service was in order, actually fast. which leads me to the conclusion that eating is not entirely homemade, but is bought and put together. both in the presentation and in the taste is more daring. I was here for the Sunday brunch that was a great choice. were already here for a coffee drink. pie great. has heated sitting outdoors for smoker. and with good weather many sitting outdoors. planned visit with friends to brunch on a very wet Sunday. the walter opens the rooms after the number of visitors. warm and comfortable on a cold, wet day. the staff and reception were the same. the tasty looking and extensive buffet includes hot and cold food, so a large selection and a lot of it. but it would be rude! and delicious too. our group had mixes of hot and cold and all agreed that it was delicious. there were even cakes. all in all about 35 € for two people including drinks. and well full. the staff were consistently friendly and helpful. yes, good value for money and it is worth going back there.

the country house walter has a good location in the middle of the city park and attracts so much needed on summer evenings. eating is, however, less than average pub food. Although it is not particularly expensive, there are elsewhere better eating for less, and the situation seems to be its strength. walter also promotes himself as a venue for the local blues club. the two paintings I was there, both randomly Thursdays, there was certainly music, but the atmosphere was very one single bar for people middle ages. so if they are single, Thursday evening in walter are the right place for them. since I am mid-aged and happy married, I found the attention quite disturbing!
