Hotel is an old but the features inside reflect that. Staff are absolutely lovely. Food was fantastic. Didn’t have breakfast due to being on the road early.

We had a short 2 night break at the hotel and it was lovely! Beautiful location, room large and clean, spa superb and the staff were all friendly and helpful. Food good too.

This stunning hotel has a lovely pool that is at the perfect temperature. The grounds are beautiful and the food is great. My single room was clean with a comfortable single bed and a nice en suite bathroom. Overall, it was a very nice experience and I would highly recommend this gorgeous hotel.

I found the food at the hotel to be too expensive. The swimming pool is quite small. We were disappointed to learn that the sauna and steam room are alternated, leading to overcrowding. The shower only stays on for about 5 seconds before shutting off, making it difficult to wash your hair. The hairdryers are also not effective for styling as they have built-in tubes. Additionally, the floor was wet.

Attended a wedding reception and the entire experience was wonderful. The only downside was the lack of staff at reception on arrival as we had no idea where to go !! It was only hearing a friend talking that we realised where the other guests were !! Room for reception was perfect for a small intimate wedding g and the food was outstanding. The room had a lackluster vintage feel with flaking paint, blown tiles, and stained carpets. It was not well-maintained with hair in the bed, a white mark on the bedding, and cobwebs around. The spa pool was freezing and the steam room was out of order. The TV was small and oddly placed. The bed was uncomfortable and there was a noise outside the window all night. Breakfast was a letdown as well, with the hot breakfast option unavailable due to the chef calling in sick. Despite breakfast supposedly starting at 6:30, it was not available when we arrived at 8:45. Overall, for a supposed 4-star hotel charging 120 pounds for bed and breakfast, the experience was extremely disappointing.

Scaffolding outside my window, cold shower on day 2. Scafolders turned up at 9 15, I wasn't told of the work or workmen prior to bookin, I discovered them coming out of the shower at my window, noisy and rowdy. I showed the video to reception and asked the question how difficult would it have been to organise the work after check out, I was told they could not dictate when they turn up??? Jacuzzi out of order day 2. 1 hour wait for soup and main (not busy appearing disorganised), both locals and your staff told me to go to the dial inn. I've been generous with my feedback score. This review is just for the spa. I’m sad to write a negative review however I have reached out to the spa manager but have not been able to get any where with my complaint. My cousin and I booked a treatment based on an instagram advert. The treatment we received was 25 minutes shorter than advertised. I mentioned this to the therapist and showed them the advert and she offered me entry into the pool area as compensation, I explained that I already had paid for entry into the pool area as part of a food package I’d also booked on the same day.
