"here we eat well, here we were two nights in a row, and twice we are very satisfied ociti, both with the dishes of land and with the sea. cuttle on chickpeas, brandacujun, borage ravioli, spaghetti with clams, trophies with pesto, Ligurian rabbit, fish of the day. all prepared with care and served in beautiful abundant portions. I read on the white face of the house and agree with other reviews: fresh and pleasant. two notes for the chef: 1. pasta is too much to the tooth, I like it, but I don't believe everyone. 2. the ****: why don't you take the zabaione and replace it with a honey, rosemary and lavender?"

"difficult to go to dinner with a husband who ran a restaurant and not even hear a criticism. "We drove from Mougins, France to Bordigotta specifically to eat at this restaurant. It was sooo worth it!! It opened at 12:30 pm and we were first to sit down at an outdoor table, warmly prepared. We felt welcome from the moment we sat down. The young lady server (didn’t get her name was attentive and helpful with wine pairings for our meals; Pigato white with our pastas (Trofie with pesto sauce, maccarroni with zucchini and monkfish, and gnocchi with tomatoes and fish most tender gnocchi I have ever had! and a beautifully sweet dessert wine (Passito with our Black Cherry Parfait, Cheeaecake and Passionfruit Sorbet and Tiramisu. Dessert was outstanding! The service was mindful of letting us relax and knowing when we were ready to move on… simply wonderful. This special trip for this meal was so very worth it; treat yourself right and have a meal at this restaurant!"

"Dommage, au 2e service de 13:45, nous avons attendu plus de 25 minutes pour finalement commander. Puis la serveuse nous a totalement ignorés en servant le dernier arrivé. Enfin, c'est le patron qui a pris notre commande et après 45 minutes nous avons finalement pu manger. Alors surprise, le restaurant n'avait pas de pain, jamais vu. Nous avons passé 1 h 45 pour un plat et un dessert. Une serveuse qui passe son temps à souffler, à déborder. Je lui conseille de changer sa profession. Les plats sont excellents et le rapport de valeur est très correct, quelle tristesse à manger dans une telle atmosphère."

"We visited Il Giardino del Gusto in November of 2019 while on vacation with our family from Toronto, Canada. Where to start?! The menu looked appetizing but that 's about it--our first plates came out rather cold and were SO SMALL (I ordered the prawns and I was given two measly pieces of shrimp... really? . When I inquired our waiter, Marco, why the portions were so small he said in a cavalier way Welcome to Italy! . Um, okay. By the time our main dishes came out, we were ready for the bill. The portion-controlled sizes of the dishes continued to mimic those of a tasting menu at a 5* Michelin restaurant, however, the taste was altogether lacking. Most of our family members don 't even remember what they ate here, it was that non-memorable. My husband, who ordered the fresh fish of the day, said the fish tasted farm-raised and was definitely not freshly caught. No excuse!! Ventimiglia is RIGHT on the water. Daiiiii! The kicker was the waitstaff drama that we witnessed. Voices were raised between the restaurant manager, Maria, and our waiter, Marco, who seemed to be involved in some sort of cheating lover 's quarrel! I kid you not, our Canadian family members who speak Italian were shocked at what was said between them. While not all of us spoke Italian, we got the gist of their drama. All together this restaurant has a very unprofessional atmosphere and the food is overpriced and not fresh to boot. The sommelier, Anna, was very helpful however in making sure that we had our bellies full of good, French and Italian wines. Skip the waitstaff drama, poor food, and small portions--in short, find another place to eat in Ventimiglia!"
