"Everything was over salted! From the butter and bread, to the steak and chips! I asked for the chips to be replaced for non-salted ones, the waitress returned with more salt!! I explained again, and th steak and chips were taken for over 10 minutes. The original steak returned, stone cold. And the chips were still salted!!! The steak £28.50) wasn't the best, and had no pepper on it. The owners are pretentious enough to not supply salt and pepper at the table, but the food was truly awful. I took a look in the kitchen.... Sure enough, every surface was glazed in salt. There's a big pot of the stuff, but no sign of any pepper!! It's called seasoning guys!! Massively disappointed, wouldn't recommend anybody visiting.... Unless you like salt! 4 dessert choices... All poor and extortionate!"

A really lovely restaurant with an excellent menu which although is not extensive, is very well executed. The staff were so lovely with a great atmosphere. Voir le carte

This was a really excellent meal with some original combinations and good choice of ingredients. We left feeling satusfied but not stuffed, which is always a good sign. Service was a little slow and prices were a little high, but overall a good experience and we will be back.

A very close friend and I spending a weekend in the Cotswolds, selected your restaurant for Sunday Lunch as I had read about it in Cotswold Life. We were both very impressed with the location, the excellent use of space in the restaurant and garden. We were welcomed and shown to an excellent table where we enjoyed a superb lunch. A brilliant experience which will live long in the memory. Voir le carte

The meal was elegantly presented, and tasty ,but the portions of vegetables was mean.I had one skinny little carrot and a tiny tiny potato . Our friends were disappointed too,one new potato cut into four each. The bread was stale too and my jus came late for the chicken dish. It's a shame to have say this.We are a well travelled group of friends and used to fine dining, but I am afraid Jesse Smith will miss out if they don't be more generous with their portions.

We had a most enjoyable meal from the starter which was so imaganative and delightful Goats cheese Panna Cotta with beetroot the flavours and colour where delighted and melted in the mouth. Second course was bream and mussels which was delicious. There was so much choice on the menus it was hard to choose. My desert was a lavender parfait with an almond biscuit and blueberry compote which was so scrumptious. Definitely a great meal out and should go there more often.

"I had been in this pub for a while, but my family and I were on the way from cheltenham to Westonbirt at 17 o'clock and called for an early dinner. all four of us said that the meal was faultless, we enjoyed all three courses and cannot praise this place enough. such a great atmosphere, cordial greeting from the incredibly fabulous staff and a seat directly at the log tariff. what more can they demand. it is easy to find, beautiful location and has plenty of parking right next to the pub. in summer there is a large garden back. in februar this is the place to eat when they go to visit the colesbourne snowdrop gardens that are right in front of the house and not to miss. the menu at the colesbourne inn is huge and offers for everyone something wonderful, regardless of their taste or nutrition to choose. my calamari ‘Bar Bite’ size starter was superb and definitiw a greater part than we expected. the other appetizers, a black bell and black pudding with fried egg was superb as well as the bread selection we also ordered. mostly fish Pie....only full of a lot of different fish and whistle fish. my son had the steak and ale pier he claimed he was the best he had eaten in a very long time. two of us had the nut roast dinner.... I want my Christmas dinner to be as good as that. desserts of fruit crumbs and custard finished the meal with the obligatory glass or two of fizz. for each device in these times to offer this incredible selection of oriented, which is an absolute credit for them by the most kind of employees ever and the very high standards they did. highly recommended at any level possible. well made the colesbourne inn"
