"Situated at the quieter end of the beach , the section you can walk dogs on during the high season , we were amazed at the great choice of food available and just how tasty it looked. As it was not a specialist Fish Chip eatery we took a chance ordering the haddock chips . This generous portion was not only beautifully presented with the finest tartar sauce I've had in ages but also had a large fresh crisp side salad . The fresh tasting fish was in super light batter and the chunky chips were cooked to perfection, crisp non greasy outside and soft and fluffy inside. At £13 for a portion that we could not finish it was great value , we'd have paid more in London for far less without the garnish . The staff were super friendly and helpful. The other diners food looked just as tasty . I'd recommend this eatery to anyone and an added bonus is loads of free parking at this end of the beach . We returned for an ice cream , for which they had a fine selection and some fresh squeezed orange juice a couple of hours later"

We had a crab sandwich and my goodness it was the best I have had. Got to have white bread to get the full taste of the crab. Lovely staff, chatty and friendly.

Great tasty lunch, loved my fish and the kids had delicious cakes for dessert. Owner was present and seemed to be very attentive to local customers. We went with friends who are local and will definitely visit again. Plus the view was great too great food by the beach.

Stopped for a coffee and a bite to eat/late lunch whilst having a stroll along the beach/prom. Highly recommended. Food service was quick and portion size was great, although had thought food was pricey until saw how much they put on the plates ! Food was nice as was the coffee. Little gem of a place .. beach is just perfect for dogs the food was amazing and scrumptious.. had Cromer crab salad a ploughman’s .. box filled to the brim .. only thing could fault no bread with ploughman’s .. dogs loved it water bowls and kind of a doggie meet greet .. friendly staff the most beautiful view .. will be back!

Looked up places to eat while staying in burgh castle This looked perfect so travelled to gorleston what a disappointment As you can see in the pictures breakfast served on a plate. Well £42 for full English breakfast for 3 served in boxes plastic knife and fork plus it wasn't even good. Definitely would not eat here again plus photos need changing as it gives the wrong impression.

Had good promise but sadly the food wasn’t great. Poached egg on toast with crispy bacon was more crispy eggs with poached bacon. If there was any butter on the toast it was minimal. The bacon had rubber band fat and the poached eggs were well and truly over done! Toast was so hard I couldn’t eat most of it especially with the plastic knife and fork. Other half had Sausage bap was ok but again minimal if any butter. Cappuccino and black americano was nice tho! Voir le carte

Jay Jays has always been a great place to eat for locals and holiday makers with great food but recently the quality has changed and is now a disappointment. What a stupid idea it is to serve the food in cardboard boxes with plastic spoons instead of proper china plates and dishes with proper cutlery like they have always done. I also noticed that a lot of things are no longer on the menu I’m guessing because they cannot be served in cardboard boxes. I don’t expect to eat food that’s now quite expensive from a cardboard box. I’m a local and I don’t like to feel I’ve been ripped off.

Visited this cafe a few times now. Decided to have breakfast here instead of at our budget hotel. The weather was good so eating outside was ideal. The staff were great, friendly and helpful. The breakfast wrap was excellent, packed with sausage, bacon, egg, mushrooms, hash brown with a side of beans. Sausage and egg bap for my wife also great. Good tea as well. (A lot of negative comments on here about food served in cardboard trays with disposable cutlery. We are all entitled to personal views but for me it is sensible given that if a piece of crockery gets broken outside, it could be very nasty for the many walkers, children and dogs using the promenade.
