"We ran into this restaurant while we were hunting craft beers in Italy. Il Santo Bevitore isn’t a top craft bar, but we loved it. A tiny doorway openening onto Via Galleria (42/B) leads to a compact bar of regulars. Farther along is a good sized dining room with windows onto a courtyard and walls festooned with breweriana. The best of Italian craft beer can match those of any other country and even an “average” craft Italian has soared in quality in the last several years. Still, they challenge the palate and we appreciate a lager break once in a while. Il Santo Bevitore only has a handful of taps, but one is Augustiner’s Edel Hell—one of the best lager beers in the world—in good condition. An unusual IPA from Balladin, Asteroid 56013, served to remind us we were still in Italy, but would be above average even in the states. Food is home cooked, very reasonably priced and served in staggering proportions. If we lived in Bologna, we’d be loyal members of the devoted fans of this simple, welcoming, and thoroughly enjoyable watering hole. I do better spagethi at home. It was plain, no sauce not even oil. No sauce beside it And my friends sandwich was like from the cheapest fast food place. Didnt like it at all. Voir le carte

Every time I visit Bologna I visit this place. It is a gem of a place with great food, huge selection of beer, live sport and great staff who always welcome you back with huge smiles. I would recommend this place to anybody. Keep up the good work Luca and Nati.

This place was the best in Florence. Especially when you first try the rabbit fever. Ky wife and I were here after a long day. They had fresh bread on our table. Her house wines were excellent. You cattle tar kills us to die. Then my first rabbit dish came at all and it was delicious! tender, juicy and tasteful. We were too filled to get dessert, but I'm sure that would have been perfect. I wish I could give this place 6 stars!
