Wonderful experience. Never been here before, and I can't understand why, or forgive myself! Super food, excellent service and such a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. Kudos to Kaz what a guy the host with the most!! Can't recommend highly enough don't be like me, get in there!!!!!

After a day in Cheshire wife suggested we eat early to save going back to digs coming out again. Arrived here at just after 6pm on a Saturday evening expected to be only ones in there did not expect to be nearly half full already. On a recent trip to the Wirral for some medical treatment my nurse recommended Holdi to me. And I have to say I’m glad she did. The meal was reasonably priced. A really good choice of dishes. It was all really tasty. If I am ever back up this way again I would definitely revisit here for a good meal. It was very busy even for midweek so appears to be popular in the area and I can see why.

My partner and I went to this restaurant after seeing positive reviews online. He likes madras curry and I prefer dishes with chili and garlic. Unfortunately, both of our meals were extremely disappointing. The madras was bad and my chili garlic dish had crunchy, dried garlic flakes on top. I pride myself on being a curry expert and can confidently say that this is the worst place I have ever eaten at, so some of the reviews must be fake. Additionally, the seating was cramped and we felt pressured to interact with strangers. This restaurant is definitely the worst we have ever visited. You know a place is good when it is busy on a Monday evening. We went about 7pm and it was pleasantly full. Everything was seemless. We were seated quickly, menus given, drinks order taken, food order taken etc in a timely way. We shared poppadums and a chutney tray, then I had a chicken karahi and my partner had a chicken tikka masala with pilau rice. We ordered a garlic naan each (no sharing that delicious goodness! and a large glass of rose and a pint of beer and it all came to under £50. It was all fresh and full of flavour, in my karahi I could taste the ginger in it afterwards. The chicken was moist and tender, the rice fluffy and separated, breads fluffy and perfectly cooked.
