If you like old, rustic tea rooms you can't get better than this. Nestled in an historic village estate the setting and atmosphere is one of a bygone era. Coffee is first class, scones cakes divine as are the other food choices too. Simply wonderful. Parking: Free dedicated village parking. The setting for the tea room is a quintessential rural village. A pub, a church, various picturesque cottages, and the tea room. It was very busy, always a good sign, with an array of cakes and pastries to choose from, but also a menu of hot and cold lunches. Service was relaxed, not the quickest, but it's not a setting for a quick turnaround. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit, the food was great, and recommend it to anyone thinking of popping in. SUPERB. Nice range of delicious food, polite and efficient service. Rookie error: we hadn 't booked (a Wednesday lunchtime in mid November but it was very busy. Perfect scones and cakes. Huge tea pots. Very reasonable prices. Tips: 1. Try the specials : (soup of the day broccoli and Stilton was amazing . 2. Leave room for a cake (a wide selection will tempt you from the middle of the main room . Can very highly recommend the mincemeat Bakewell ; 3. Walk before or after in the nearby park if it 's open. 4. There 's a large car park, please use it.
