"Knowing that my family and I would be in Abergavenny around lunchtime prior to a walk up Sugar Loaf, I took the rare step of being prepared by looking up a tea shop that served cream teas with clotted cream (any civilised person would of course faint into their jam at the sight of whipped! and didn't close at 2pm (as if everyone's appetite sticks to a schedule . Meeting those requirements alone would have been enough to get a good review, but I was genuinely delighted by The Little Treat. From the moment we walked in, our every need was met. We thought we'd have trouble finding a table as the only one remaining was for 2 people (there were 4 of us , but the lovely gentleman behind the counter asked if we'd like that table and then immediately brought 2 extra chairs over and ensured that we were comfortably sat with menus ordering was prompt and correct. His colleague delivered our food and, when it became clear that there would be a slight delay in my daughter's order, brought over complimentary drinks. The food was excellent neither pretentious nor poor quality. Both our hosts were unfailingly polite, but sincerely so, and genuinely warm. The service alone was worthy of note if all catering establishments were like this then the world would be a happier place but the food left us all satisfied as well. I really look forward to next time we're in Abergavenny so we can visit again."

"Having lived in Turkey for many years it is wonderful to have found somewhere that serves real Turkish food close to home. The staff are all welcoming, caring and wonderful with the children. We have visited for Birthdays and again staff have made the event special. Don't hesitate to treat yourself and pay a visit, you won't be disappointed. Kid-friendliness: Always make a fuss of the children, make sure that they have everything that they need. On a recent visit one child didn't order as they were not hungry then changed their mind, food was prepared quickly for them even though the restaurant was busy."

"Visited this coffee shop in August 2022 whilst out shopping in Abergavenny. Hadn't read reviews prior to our visit but can understand why there are so many 5* reviews. Initially, the cafe appeared dated in decor, we were unsure whether to stay and therefore asked for a table outside in the courtyard which equally appeared to need a makeover. However, please do not let that put you off a visit. I approached the counter for a menu and was informed that there were no written menus to take back to the table and would I like to take a photo of the menu display board, which I did. I noticed that the staff were very friendly, dressed well in official uniform and actively wanted their customers to feel at ease and have a pleasant meal. We ordered 2 coffees and 2 panini and chips all excellent quality with the panini presented just as is shown in the photo above. My coffee was particularly good, strong brew and very tasty just how I like it! Upon leaving The Coffee Pot, I noticed that the inside seating was now filling up, with many Octaganarian locals sampling the delights on offer a sure fire sign that the place is high quality as a regular haunt for the discerning older adult. I considered giving a slightly lower rating but overall cannot fault our visit and urge to you give it a try when looking for a lunch spot in Aber. Enjoy."

The food was exceptional, earning a solid five stars for its delicious flavors and presentation. The service was also commendable, with a friendly staff that provided attentive service, warranting a four-star rating. The atmosphere of the restaurant was inviting and pleasant, which added to our overall enjoyment, so I rated it four stars as well. As for parking, I’m unsure of the availability, but I did notice that there is a paid parking lot nearby. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for a special dinner!"

"the lunch for us turned out to press a little table. a call to the restaurant by another parade who reduced party size was accepted as our table. Despite our assurances, we had not made such a call, a big...without table was not available, although there was an empty table next to us for the whole meal. no apology was offered. our bill came to a head that, given the squeeze and very limited selection of vegetarian options, did not seem great worth for money. that said eating was delicious and the waiting service was excellent."
