"Last weekend, we visited Both Burgers and Huh a Bark, and it was a delightful experience. The service was excellent; the staff was attentive, helpful, and courteous. The weather was fantastic, so we enjoyed sitting outside for a drink after our meal, which was a lovely way to wrap up a pleasant outing. This was our first visit, but it certainly won't be the last!"

beautiful day-long smoked deensalat with plucked float, followed by grilled cod and saphir. Lense soup and a massive burger for itself. delicious and well cooked. sat in but beautiful outdoor seating at the river is close.

this is a family-run friendly, well-priced place for Sunday dinner. my friend had problems cutting the fryed beef (which was delicious and she is older! they took it away, presented a new piece and took it out of the bill. cozy chick for informal eating or more formal dining room. beautiful service

Stopped off for a break I 'm so glad we did. From the moment you walk in the door you warmly greeted. We decide to have fish chips we was not disappointed, the fish was fresh large, chips cooked just how we like them, side salad to top it off homemade tartare sauce yum yum. If you are this way try it find out..... 5 's....

I just enjoyed a delightful meal with a great selection of food, including traditional staples, delicious starters, and desserts. Clair and Kayleigh were on duty today, and they truly made us feel welcome. The restaurant also offers nice wines and beers. It’s a wonderful spot to relax outdoors by the river, weather permitting. We were very glad they had some space in their annex hall, it was full when we turned up without booking at 2pm on a Sunday. The food was excellent, and the staff was very welcoming and kind. Food was excellent, I'd ale steak pie with potatoes and vegetables. I'd of happily had double amount of vegetables. The pastry on pie was perfect. Dessert was good as well. Easy parking as well as disabled access at front door, side door is used for everyone else. I'd booked table, confirmed accessible. Highly recommended. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch

"Have been dining at the Road Hole for many years now, always at Christmas time, and it has always been a 5 star experience. This time was no different, every course cooked to perfection, plated perfectly and totally delicious. But from previous years it makes me a little sad to see the menu become somewhat downgraded and limited. It seems to be trending towards being just a grill restaurant for main course, the options were steak, steak, steak, venison, cauliflower steak, or halibut. Not being a steak/red meat fan, that leaves just one choice for me. As luck would have it, a great choice that suits me well, but still. In my opinion, the chef and team there are so talented that they're wasted just turning out steaks. The scallops starter and apple millefuille dessert prove that. What's happened to the days of the 7 course taster menu? Hopefully this steak focus is simply a Covid necessity and the menu will expand again soon. The price is certainly still at fine dining levels. But with the Swilkin loft next door (where we haven't been) offering more variety I really hope the vision here isn't to lose fine dining and have the Road Hole become an expensive Sands grill in essence as I said, it has been a masterclass in fine dining for so long that would be a real shame. One other slight wrong note no dessert wine available on the day (from only one menu option by the glass) and the port ordered as a replacement had also ran out. Not a disaster but again, hoping that isn't indicative of a move away from a proper fine dining experience. However, to come back the meal itself was truly superb, a great experience. Staff were excellent as always too."
