One of our favourite pubs in the area. The food is always lovely and staff really accommodating. Blue enjoyed his first indoor pub trip today

We called in for an impromptu lunch with the family and had a great time. Lovely pint of beer with nice food in lovely surroundings. Service could not be faulted as the staff were very attentive and considerate to our needs.

I visited this pub today for Sunday lunch I had the roast beef and it was amazing great service and value for money all the staff were very friendly welcoming and nothing was to much trouble I will definitely be going back and would highly recommended it Voir le carte

Superb pub with such friendly staff. Very good atmosphere for a chain pub and can tell the locals really enjoy it here. Food is a decent amount, the correct portion size for an adult.Drinks kept flowing well and was asked a few times if everything was okay. Prices are reasonable for again a chain pub. Great service and most enjoyable here.We will be back soon!Thank you

Went for lunch with a few friends. Served promptly by a lovely female staff member, who advised me of the COVID restrictions which made me feel safe. Had a great selection of drinks, and decided to try a few of their gins. Ordered food, which came out within 15 minutes. I had the brains burger which was great and very filling. Overall a great experience and will be returning.

We were greeted with a friendly welcome, but the table was sticky. We asked for it to be cleaned, but it remained sticky. The Cumberland sausages were not authentic and the mashed potato was dry and tasted like heavy, inedible powder. The peas were hard and lacking in flavor. The gammon and pineapple were cooked on a dirty grill with burnt bits and black juice. Despite requesting the egg to be cooked hard and solid, it was not done correctly. Charged £2 each for two small beakers of squash, the same price as child’s refillable fizzy drinks. Queried this with the waitress who insisted this was correct she stated that she did not have an option for squash. When asked how a larger drink of blackcurrant and soda was cheaper than a child’s size squash she realised what we were saying and went off to check. On returning waitress stated that she was not able to correct this as we had already started to pay (we paid via 3 separate cards) but we could have the squashes refilled even though we were clearly leaving! Be aware of this when ordering your children’s meals. Very poor service will not use this pub again!

After moving to Llantarnam a year ago we finally decided to try one of our two local pubs and decided to try The Greenhouse. My husband used to visit it years ago and said it was brilliant back then and although we both knew it had changed ownership since those days we had high hopes it would be lovely. Ordered our drinks in the bar, sat outside in the garden but decided to eat indoors. We ordered a curry and a burger and were seated by our table with new drinks. For a quiet evening so why the food took nearly 40 minutes goes beyond my understanding. Over the past 18 months Covid has had a massive impact on businesses so we as a family try to support locals as much as possible. Our experience here was terrible and the customer service from management was appalling. Once sat at our table we ordered food and drinks from the waitress who was lovely.The pub wasn’t particularly busy and once your order was take for food staff didn’t really come back to see if we wanted more drinks or if everything was ok with food. We only had 1 drink each because nobody came to take our order for a second round so it’s pointless going for the refill option. Myself and my daughter had soda water and blackcurrant, both the same size glass but 2 different price... Voir le carte
