"Absolutely !! As a travelling foodie, I'm incredibly critical of restaurants and takeaways. I've just eaten a large fish and chips with curry sauce from Good Frydays and the verdict was easy, that's one of the best fish and chips I've ever had and trust me, I don't miss a meal. Why? Starting with the chips, they are exactly what you hope for when visiting a traditional British chippy, great tasting good quality potatoes, a mouth watering texture and all served perfectly hot, a combination that makes them very moreish. Topped with a great tasting traditional chip shop curry sauce, it's just what the Doctor ordered! Onto the star of the show, the large fish which given it's size, could have been mistaken with a shark! ...super tasty, it was an incredibly chunky piece that was perfectly cooked and piping hot! The batter was golden brown, almost an ale colour which was tasty and not greasy. The crowns on the batter were soo crispy even after driving it home. Personally, I always have my fish and chips separate to avoid creating a sweat box so I recommend this, it's an easy was to spoil any battered fish, let alone what could well be the very best Bristol has to offer, Good Frydays is certainly ahead of any other I've had in Bristol over the past several years. Finally, service. What's a great chippy with the classic experience. I'm pleased to say this also scores a 10. A family business, lovely people who are engaging, genuine and just a pleasure to talk to. I've met the father and son a few times now and every time, I enjoy great chat, they are honestly a very down to earth family that remind people like myself to support local. To conclude, absolutely fantastic job, thank you. My family and I loved our delicious food today and without question, I'll be recommending! Usually excellent food but unfortunately on this occasion I was disappointed. Clarks pie was very dry and the chips were hard amd shrivelled up. Like they had been cooked once then warmed up.

After having a lovely day at the park with my two children, went for a bag of chips in the so called best chipshop in the area only to get home and be very disappointed, the chips were stale and brown and very undercooked! Very disappointed! Won 't be going there again

I was very disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. The chips were awful and the cod and burger were just average. Despite the high price of £38 for two, I was expecting something special due to the good rating, but I was wrong. I will not be ordering from here again. On a positive note, the delivery was quick and arrived early.
