really really tasty food. the flavours were vibrant. service was amazing they were constantly on their toes keeping the place tidy. my only issue was that they were out or dim sum :

During our Christmas vacation in 2016, we visited another Chinese restaurant in the city. The place was packed with diners enjoying delicious food during the holiday season. Unfortunately, we did not have the opportunity to try the dim sum recommended by Denny Setiawan.

The service at this restaurant was awful. The staff were very rude, and it was clear that they automatically include a 12.5% service charge so they don't have to make an effort. We were craving congee with fried dough sticks and were not disappointed. The porridge is light, and the flavors subtle. We ordered one fish and pork tripe porridge, and one preserved egg with pork porridge, with some assorted dim sum. Really enjoyed the mango grapefruit tapioca pearl dessert too.

After exploring all of Chinatown, we ultimately chose to dine at the Golden Phoenix. The restaurant boasts clean interiors and friendly staff who were happy to explain the menu to us. We ordered the grilled meat and the jam-filled stew. The meat was rolled into a spring roll and was absolutely delicious. Overall, we were satisfied with the yummy Chinese food and had a great dinner experience at the Golden Phoenix.

I have no complaints food was good as was the service but nothing was WOW. We ordered the seafood crispy noodles, sweet sour chicken, veg noodles (as the chicken didnt come with a side so we had to order separately), veg spring rolls prawn dumplings. The food was good and tasted very fresh. Portions are pretty generous! With 2 diet cokes the bill came up to £55.40 which is steep when you compare to other restaurants on the same street. the hotel is located in the epic city part chinatown, which is always live with, we were surprised that we got a place and this place was brilliant. the tee was soothing and the highlights were the custard and the yolk rolls. the fried section standout for me were the deep fried sesame rolls. in relation to the noodle was the noodle and the noodles of my divine sinful melody. I don't enjoy the taro dumplings, but liked the pumpkin dumplings, so that actually a personal preference and not a suggestion.

This Chinese restaurant has a stunning interior and a lot of seating options. The service was good and the food was very tasty. The prices on their website were slightly different from what we paid in the restaurant, but not significantly higher. We tried dishes such as roasted duck, pork belly, grilled dim sum, ink cake, and crispy spring rolls, and everything was delicious. I would recommend trying their tasting sets for 2 or more people, as they offer a great variety of dishes and give a good overview of Chinese cuisine.

A very good option in Chinatown for authentic Cantonese dim sum. I visited on the back of a positive recommendation and overall I was impressed. We ordered the har gau (prawn dumpling), mixed dumpling set, the turnip cake, cheung fun, BBQ pork pastries and egg yolk custard buns. The har gau were especially good with generous sized prawns and the cheung fun was comparable to anything I've had in Hong Kong. The skins of dumpling selection could have been a little lighter, but no complaints aside from that. Will definitely visit again to sample more. Voir le carte
