"First time in years we’ve been here! Wow! What have we been missing? 5 stars in every way! Where to start? •Walking in we were greeted by a very friendly young lady, who was attentive, friendly, courteous and just so good at her job! •The decor was beautiful and the Christmas decorations were perfect •A cosy wood burning stove added to the ambiance •The food was absolutely perfect, there were 5 of us ordering from the extensive Christmas menu, belly pork, Katsu curry, fish and chips, plus starters and desserts! All tasty and cooked perfectly! •We were able to order extra drinks from our table without being made to feel it was too much trouble for the bar lady! •We had one adult and 2 young children tag along with us, just for a drink and a bag of crisp! They were all happily accommodated, even though they were not booked in! We will definitely be back, many times in the future! Thank you to all at The Fox and Hounds for restoring our faith in village pubs!"

Your response to me about the lack of WiFi was that we should talk to each other. I explained that I was trying to resolve an issue back in Spain. That wasn't a very helpful answer!

My wife had a Christmas dinner. The turkey looked as if it had been pulled rather than cut. Some of the vegs were like mush and others had barely seen any boiling water. Presentation of meal a 3/10. Voir le carte

Absolutely brilliant Christmas meal. Rachel definitely needs a Christmas bonus.. she couldn't do enough for us...sooo welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely return and would highly recommend this venue.

went for a family meal (9 of us) sunday lunch ,food and service was superb ,As we find it quite hard to all get together very often this was perfect and although we all live the other side of Derby and further afield we will certainly return again in the near future,Highly recommend.
