"Incredible! This was my first visit, and I wasn't quite sure what to expect. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed. The atmosphere is quirky, perhaps a bit old-fashioned, but everything comes together beautifully with a varied menu displayed on chalkboards. We decided to just have tea and maybe some cake. Everything was delightful, and it was clear that everything is made with care, from the hearty menu with some of my favorites like smoked fish chowder and homemade tomato soup served with fresh bread from the local bakery. The tea is brewed in a pot and served in fine china. I ordered a freshly brewed coffee, which was said to be the best he ever had! This place also features a shop with all sorts of old and new items to browse and try. Jane and her team do a fantastic job, serving delicious food to their wonderful visitors. It's definitely a must-try!"

This is a wonderful nostalgic place with everything like it used to be away from the hustle and bustle of the world. Sam and Janet have time for a chat and we swapped recipes with Sam. The homemade almost everything was quite delicious.

They absolutely adore this charming little café and business. The coffee is the best they’ve found for miles. The smoked fish soup was the best I’ve ever had, and the desserts are fantastic. Additionally, the owners are an absolute delight, just like the regular customers we met. We're looking forward to another visit (or two) the next time we're in the area. It’s truly the best café in the seaside quarter! Voir le carte

this caffe was unusual in the decor, but there was a traditional mood for us. I ordered their fresh homemade limonade £2.75) and eier mayonnaise cress sandwiches £5.95) that was great and the dame that I suspect was the owner's jane) was very friendly and informatiw about their menu told us their specialties and their sticky toffee pudding. I'd come back next time to try her pudding when we were full. this was the high point of our visit at the ulverston center.

This charming little spot is a must-visit, especially for their sticky toffee pudding! The rich, delicious toffee sauce is something I could indulge in every day. Unfortunately, it's only located in the holiday area. The service is incredibly friendly, and the lovely atmosphere kept my daughter entertained the entire time. She particularly enjoyed the ducks on the small cup for her milk. Highly recommended! Just a note that they have a minimum card payment of £10.

"Pre booked a table online as I wanted the table for a family retirement meal for my Mum, added into the comments a request to have a couple of bottles of fizz and sharing dessert for our party (which nobody acknowledged), I called a couple of days before to arrange this and pay upfront, I was told we would have two bottles of fizz and 6 glasses ready for us on the table on arrival we didn 't why? Awkward as then the waitress is coming over asking what we want to order to drink I was planning on surprising my Mum with the fizz. Sharing dessert I 'm not sure if there was a miscommunication between us as when it arrived after the meal I 'd question how many people were sharing the dessert. I 've been to the Farmers plenty over the years for food and it 's always been pretty decent, it 's always a good atmosphere etc. Unfortunately on this occasion the food was pretty poor. Two of us ordered the 'tandoori ' chicken kebabs so bland, I 'd question whether the chicken had ever seen any sort of marinade/spice mix. Rice was tasteless and there was a pitiful number of chips for a 'half half ' portion. Mussels again commented on the portion of chips served on the side tight. Fish dish was small but aren 't they always and the Cajun chicken and brisket meals were fine. A shame overall as like I said it 's always a good atmosphere and it is a nice place interior wise. I wouldn 't rush back unfortunately."
