comfortable good fish and chips at a bargain price. pukka pies also served. restaurant is above, it is not beautiful, but a really great place. I came here 20 years ago and if ever, it's better. no fat chips here!

very good quality fish n chips. extremely good hygiene and personalization. it is not open on Sunday or Monday, so that not caught by this. open times are 11 30 to 2 and 430 to 9 on the other days, i.e. not continuously open on the afternoon. Voir le carte

Used to be great. Decided to go again and what a mistake. Food inedible. Fish cooked in stale oil. Staff surly and it didn’t look very clean, Hope they didn’t overcharge me and good advice from others to check your bank statement. So many great places to eat in Baldock but this is no longer one of them.

I ordered two specials, cod bites with chips, for £ 4.50 per. they were beautiful. the chips should die. the broken cod bites were quite large and everything was spiced to perfection and it was also hot. my son and I sat outside in the sun that enjoys our meal. I went back after the meal and told the staff how good it was.

We just returned home from having a very nice meal of Cod and Clips at Maltings Restaurant in Baldock. The Chippy we used to regularly dine in as far back as the 1980s. It's lovely to know it's now restored to its former excellence and that being so satisfied today we can hope to regularly dine there again as we used to do. Alf and Cath Chapman Voir le carte

Omg never ever again, so dirty, staff was just 1 girl who was so busy doing everything as restaurant is upstairs not good at all for disabled. Food was over cooked or under cooker. None of us will ever come here again and this 10 people what makes this worst, prog of grime places this place was on it lucky for us we didn't get dodgy tummy def one place I would avoid.

probably the best fish and chips I had away from the coast well cooked and seemed very fresh. service was good and portion a good size, definitely recommended whether they are a local or travel through and need a good meal to help them on their trip. well the branch off from the main roads to get a good meal, the parking is easy and soonock is a changed city from the truck park it was before the day of death.

Ahoy me maties!!!!! ‍ So a little birdy told me about a chippy that was apparently good enough to rival the homelands offering... queue a 50 odd mile round trip! (Nothing to do with an excuse for a ride On arrival I have to admit I was impressed (first question being do you have Gravy? , lovely gent and ladies working there, and what seemed quite a family friendly establishment. Biker friendly with a fair amount of parking nearby. COVID check in, with more than adequate sanitiser for your (rather warm reviewer on arrival. Made my order and grabbed a pew outside. Now...
