"Overall enjoyed it, but room for improvement! Very friendly welcome, but unfortunately we could barely hear a thing across our table once we were sat down as the noise from other tables carried really badly in a low ceilinged room. Nobody's fault, just the building design but wasn't great to be beside big party groups. Food was mainly fine, but it seemed a bit much to have to pay an extra £3 for chips to go with a (not great) macaroni cheese which already cost £14.45. appreciate cost of.living gone up amd all that, but... Fish and chips were good, turkey dinner could have been better. Only one pig in blanket, literally over half the meat was just skin and no cranberry sauce. Tried to get hold of someone but no luck, and given the lack of meat it wasn't worth the effort pursuing it. Staff were friendly, but we played second fiddle to the big groups such is the way of things in December, but not nice when you are out to supposedly celebrate a special occasion. We gave up after asking for the bill several times and then being encouraged to just get up and pay on way out, but got to say that if we had stayed for desserts, it would feel odd to have to go and look at them at a counter. Seemed to be mainly cakes and traybakes, and unfortunately the fact that they were in a cabinet didn't exactly give off the impression of freshness! I'd have gone back for the food as it was grand, but not willing to pay those prices and the fact that we were clearly second rate customers to the big groups (possibly not intentionally). Not how you win locals over and encourage them to return!"

My usual stop for breakfast on a Monday morning. Always greeted with a smile and cheery hello from Adele. Service always excellent from Adele and Iona as is the cooked breakfast.

Had a brilliant Christmas lunch here with friends. Served incredibly patiently by Emma who Rognvald Mitchell said quote was an angel . The food, service and atmosphere were great!

Went for lunch which I had booked a table for online. Lovely restaurant. Had Christmas menu on as well as normal menu. Fairways chicken was lovely served with coleslaw, choice of dip (sweet chill) and chips. Generous portion. Staff friendly and efficient.

Made a booking and thankful we did as Sundays by the looks of things will require a booking and their Famous Carvery is the reason! We both opted for it (1 lamb, 1 beef) served by the chef then you help yourself to the rest! Roast/boiled tatties, the most delicious cauliflower cheese, brocolli, swede carrot mix, yorkies and gravy selection to partner your chosen meat. £14.95 pp and worth it! It was absolutely delicious. We shared the Malteser cheesecake which was delicious too. Definitely be back and highly recommend the carvery. Service was 1st class too.

Interior great especially the Locker room. Restaurant toilets and function suite need an upgrade. We are in restaurant which was ok for dinner a bit like a posh school dinner lacked finishing touches. Had chicken balmoral which is like what you would make at home for a mid week dinner, it needed more lift and plate appeal for the price you are paying which is considerable. Ok home cooking but you would expect more in a restaurant which has such lovely interior and amazing staff. The staff are fab, have a ‘can do’ attitude and very friendly. A group of friends came to use the driving range last week. It was fun and well worth the money. The restaurant was different. We came in and asked for a table to be told let me check..the place was dead..don't know why you need to check but they then seated us away in a cold corner next to a door. We waited for someone to come over and take a drinks order but no waitress came they the place was quiet but they all stood talking at the bar with what I think was a very unclean chef and a manager all joking around. 1 waitress then caught my friends eye and came over and took our order, we ordered drinks and food as waited so long. drinks arrived and food not long after as the chef left probably...
